I HAVE A QUESTION ABOUT HAIR BLEACHING
i'm planning to bleach a strip of my hair soon, i've never bleached before and i'm scared. will it turn blonde if i leave it in for the time they suggested (which is 20-30min), meaning if i only leave it in for a few minutes it will go brown? i just want brown, not platinum blonde.. HELP PLEASE!!
I hope i am posting in the right thread. I have curly hair and it is hard finding hairstyles/haircuts for my type of hair. My hair is thin and wavy from the roots, then it starts to curl from midway to the tip. All the hairstyles i find are either for people with straight hair or have fake curls. So, i am hoping for anyone to suggest any hairstyle/haircuts for people with my type of hair because i could never find any. Also, I am wondering if bangs are okay with people who have curls!? thanks anyone for helping! here are the front and back of my hair:   HOPE THE PICTURES ARE CLEAR ENOUGH! -------------------- |

Usually if the bleach isn't strong, or if I leave it on for the time suggested, it will turn out orange, not brown. If you want like, a chesnut brown or something, I don't think you could bleach it to that color. You'd have to dye it I think. |

So this is me...   I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO DO AND IM GOING TO THE SALON ON SATURDAY!!! Should I color my hair...??? like...  or...  SHORT:  or LONG  (Those wouldn't be exactly what I'd do. I think you should color your hair, a natural looking brown like in the picture with the short hair. =] And since your hair is wavy, I think the those hairstyles you posted would only look good if you got a straight perm or it'd look a bit weird. You would suit long bangs like in the 1st pic, but thinner. -------------------- |

anyone know where in Walnut (near diamond bar and rowland heights) is there a good hair salon place? not only for updos but for normal haircuts too. i prefer it to be an asian place but they also speak english. and i'm willing to pay a good amount of money for my haircuts.
last time i went to a so-so hair salon..and let's just say it did not end up well at all! -------------------- |

Either go to a salon or get someone else to do the bleaching for you. Doing it yourself will give you a really uneven result, with bands of varying color towards the back of the head. For asian hair, it is extremely hard to go blonde. Even if you leave it on for an hour it'll just turn a bright orange/yellow color. That is not blonde! blonde does not equal yellow. Leaving bleach on for 20-30minutes on will leave a brown/orange colour which is very very unattractive. You'll have to mask it with a brown dye afterwards. I've had many many botched DIY bleachings on my own hair. I finally had enough of it so decided to go to a salon. It's been about 4 months since my first blonde salon experience (with trips to the hairdresser for root touchups, foils and toner every 5 weeks) and my hair is still not fully corrected. This is the price I have to pay for stuffing it up the first time with a crappy DIY. So tread carefully. As reference this is my hair color atm (which I've posted numerous times in this forum haha >_<)  |
