Has anyone had a chance yet to listen to AVA's debut album, We Don't Need to Whisper?
It's a very impressive compilation and definately worth checking out. Band members include: Tom DeLonge -- guitarist/vocalist David Kennedy -- guitarist Ryan Sinn -- bassist Atom Willard -- drummer AVA Official Site Myspace: AVA Wikipedia: AVA |

i have been an avid fan since the senseless lyrical and catchy punk rock tune of blink 182 days.
i'll still rock, mosh, and screw to this new band as long as tom is in it. someone's music perception changes as he ages. you can't honestly expect her was going to stick with that blink 182 punk rock stuff for long did ya? this "emo" stuff is not dumb "emo". it's just lyrics, rock, and all that good crap mashed together. gosh. emo is one of the worst words to come out of my lifetime along with metrosexual. -------------------- I'M GOING TO RIP YOUR EYEBALLS OUT AND DANCE ON YOUR BLOOD, AKLSDFJAKLSDJF I'M A KRAZY MUTHATRUCKA.

This album is really good, i like It Hurts the best.
Blink suposedly broke up because of a disagreement with Mark & Tom, having something to do with Tom & Travis's side project, BoxcarRacer. I don't know why The Transplants broke up. Travis and Mark have their own new band with a couple of other new members called "Plus 44" Look them up on myspace. -------------------- Add?

I have yet to check out AVA, but I will.
And I understand that the kind of music a person wants to make changes from when they were 16 to 30... So no criticizing on going more emo, less emo, more punk, less punk whatever... It's just odd to me how from a band of three people, each go out to do their own stuff, then tom and travis had box car racer and now tom has AVA and now travis and mark have a band. :: weird :: I wonder if Travis sometimes feels like the kid with divorced parents... PS. Why is "AVA" I don't understand how that corresponds with Angels & Airwaves... what's the "v" for? -------------------- surpr!se. ^^v

I'm a pretty die-hard fan of blink-182...
but Angels & Airwaves is pretty mediocre. The Adventure was a good song. Everything else on We Don't Need to Whisper SUCKED. QUOTE Angels and Airwaves' abbreviated name, AVA, is a partial reference to DeLonge's daughter, also named Ava. The abbreviation also, according to DeLonge, represents the band's initials with an inverted "A" in the middle, which stands for "victory". A third cause for the abbreviation is that when the letters are pronounced individually, it sounds like Avia, the beginning of the word "aviation", one of the band's artistic themes. Tom Delonge performed blink-182 songs at AVA concerts, and honestly... that's so pathetic and lame. That's when you know AVA's songs are no good, you have to play your old band's songs. Mark Hoppus even spoke out against that. I miss the old Tom DeLonge Box Car Racer and The Transplants were pretty decent. +44 with Mark and Travis Barker as the newest reincarnation of blink-182, is awesome. +44 over Angels & Airwaves anyday. -------------------- STOP MESSAGING ME FOR WARNING REMOVALS, I AM NOT A MODERATOR ANYMORE Soompi 411Facebook Twitter Blog (NEW site) |
