BIO

Birth Place: Tokyo
Birthday: Oct.1st
Hiromi is the real deal. Next Japanese R&B queen is right here. Born and raised up in Tokyo, she was always surrounded by music. She started playing Koto, Japanese traditional 13-strings instrument at the age of 5. After numbers of performances at concerts and showcases, she completed the first certificate from Koto association when she was 12. When she was in high school, she started taking formal voice lessons after her first singing performance in front of the crowd. This led her to perform at bunch of night clubs in Tokyo. In 2002 summer, she went west and attended a college in Boston, MA under the major of Psychology. She took voice lessons, performance workshop, and computer music lectures at the local voice training school, Bristol Voice Studio. She also learned classical voice training in Salzburg, Austria in 2004 summer. After the lessons in Austria, she won the the singing competition held by "Star 93.7" , one of the most popular radio stations from Boston. She also did an Opening Act for the recording artists such as Monica, Kimberly Locke, and Tamyra Gray. In 2004 winter she finished the college and went back to her home. Today she writes songs, perform at clubs, bars, and auditoriums as well as does many recordings to get ready to be a professional recording artist.

Hiromi cites artists like Amerie, Faith Evans, Mariah Carey, Alicia Keys, Beyonce as inspirations.

Never knew there was a thread for her. I love her song Oh Oh.
She's been getting alot of hype on a jpop forum I'm a meber of.
I do hope she continues to work with Nao'ymt in the future.

i agree, all of the songs he produces are hits...one of my favorites right now is Million WAYZ by May J. i also like Sweet Apple Pie, Lil' Goldfish and Boom Boom Boom (sang by Yuumi, Marika, and S-key-a respectively )

same here, when i first heard OH OH i was like lol but then i think i played it too much and got sick of it...when i heard Recover and L.O.V.E i was reminded why i started to get into her music. also she's a very nice person! such a sweet personality. i'd love to see her perform live ^__^

SOOO i haven't been updating this thread much for the simple facts that i've been busy and that there hasn't been much to report on Miss Rainbow. BUT i do have some news: while it seems that Hiro's been MIA, she's actually been doing some performances and behind the scenes work for none other than the Queen of Hip POP, Namie Amuro!! Hiromi aka Rainbow has lent her vocals to 4 tracks from Namie's awesome album PLAY:

you can get koiwazurai on itunes. it's available on ALL itunes. and the song with Cimba..i believe is form the On/Off Seven Colors....i'm not sure if it's out yet, but you can probably check cdjapan or hmv

don't really know much about hiromi, besides the fact that she wrote the lyrics to Tenjochiki's Sukoshi De Ii Kara and Coming To You. but i'll keep an eye out for her.
