I have a question ^^.
I got double eyelid surgery 2 months ago in L.A. However, the results arent as good as expected & it didnt make my eyes bigger or anything - theres just a line.

Im wondering if in about two years.

1. Can I get it redone? If so, will it cost the same or a little less since its second time?
Im thinking about doing magic epi + cutting inner corners. Can anyone give me an estimate of how much this will cost for just those two?
2. Is it possible to get another double eyelid. Im hating the placement of my double eyelid right now so if is it possible to get another double eyelid?

Thank you in advance to anyone who can answer & give me advice? Because its been two monthsright now & it hasnt been healing ever since the first month. The line is still high and swelling. Ive seen people in soompi healing within 2 weeks.

for those of you who have used VITAMIN E* to heal your scars...i just bought myself a bottle of gel caps today but wasn't too sure how to use them. i just popped them open, and spread the gel on my eyelid? i was sort of scared because i was afraid something would happen if it started going in my eyes.... crazy.gif

how and when should i use it?

here's an update on my eyes...i think they're about done shrinking. its been about two months.
deportedkorean! i wanna see the progress of your eyes...are they all healed now?

=
sorry...no makeup whatsoever. eek

JAyCy90.. where did you get yours done??. . it looks good already. and you can tell it will look very natural and pretty!!

I got mine done in a beauty saloon actually, where I usually got my facials done. So, I would say it's not exactly profesional but I love the results now. I got it done for about RM1800 (510 USD). It's pretty cheap biggrin.gif

wow your healing fast. your eyelids just look like that because its just day two - its still swelling and your eyes are yet to develop. its been 2 months since i did my eyes and its still swelling and yes, it looks exactly like your eyes except my swelling is a little worse. its normal so dont worry.

Thanks for reassuring. happy.gif I was a lil worried

edit:opps.. I acccidentally used my sister's account

^^^ thanks happy.gif, i know that getting this surgery can be very scary, so any info i have i'll definately be glad to share it. since my eyes are not done healing yet (it's still a little swollen) i will definately keep you guys posted on my progress. I read somewhere that parallel and high creases take the longest to heal wacko.gif .

murrkoh, thanks for keeping us posted on your results! Just wanted to tell you that I read on Dr. Meronk's site to not apply vitamin E oil or any type of scar reducing gels or strips to your eyelids because they won't help.

It's been 3 weeks! As promised, here are the progression pics of my eyes (sorry for diff sizes of pics & it's kinda big) blush.gif
BEFORE (i have a lil pithole which created a fold near my left eye's inner corner)

DAY 2 (ughh! so gross & oily because i couldn't wash my face!)

DAY 5 (half stitches out) --> the yellowish rings look like i've been abused crazy.gif but it didn't hurt..

DAY 5 (closed eyes)

DAY 7 (all stitches out)

DAY 16 (no makeup)

3 WEEKS (with a bit of eyeshadows)

1 MONTH

The epi part has not fully healed yet especially my left eye's inner corner because the doctor did his best to hide the pithole & fold. Good luck to everyone!

Hohoho..apologise for the "shiny" face laugh.gif I did an incisional method + magic epi + lateral canthonomy. As for the creases, I was torn initially between medium tapered and medium parallel but the doctor told me that parallel creases will look unnatural for Asians. Of course, I listened to him but now it turns out to be in-between tapered & parallel unsure.gif I love it though.. laugh.gif

Hey guys,

all of you are looking good smile.gif yeah ooh. man I feel like I will never get my surgery <- such a worry wart. I'm investigating chinese message boards at the moment, eventhough I can barely read chinese..using google translate. the words come out funny, but I get a gist of what they're saying.

Anyone heard of Beijing Tongren? heard from one poster that they are supposed to be good...must continue investigating.
I would go to migo for consult, but they don't have any pics of ptosis correction , which I suspect i have.

hi BEAUTY,

I'm sorry that you don't like your results.

Revisions tend to cost more, and it really depends on your situation. ie how difficult i is to fix. I think docs ask you to wait like a couple months at least before revision just cuz of scar tissue/healing. I think it would be best for you to do more research before you make the plunge. make sure to get a doc who does successful revisions for your case. pictures, evidence etc.
Good luck with everything

May I ask who you went to in LA, you can pm me his/her name

take care
and good luck to yalls

Okay I'm really planning to do it this winter break.
Either Eric Choe in NYC or Jeffrey Ahn depending on who is better and pricing.

However, my father doesn't support it and therefore refuses to drive me back home LOL

Will my eyes be closed and unable to open if I walk around in the streets?
Do I really need someone to escort me around or I could just wear sunglasses and be okay?

If I take 2-3 weeks off of work, I will be okay right?
It won't look bad right? I don't want the kids I tutor to be scared. sleep.gif

^ Ahh, it's gonna be hard if you're parents are so against it.
How old are you??

I mean, you need to be taking good care of yourself after surgery...
Talk with your parents & tell them how you really want it & need their support.. =)

I had my eyes done by Dr. Eric Choe, and I definately recommend him. You can read about my experience here. Your eyes will not be closed after the surgery, and they can get you car service if you have no one to drive you home. Since you can't wear contacts after the surgery, you can try putting on your glasses and then put a big sunglasses over it (that's what I did). And I think that after 3 weeks most of the bruising and swelling would be gone, so you should be okay.

I got mine done on the 10th Aug. Here are the results

Before: crazy.gif (sorry this is the only one I could find.. phew.gif Wasn't very fond with my eyes then) sweatingbullets.gif

After: Day 12th?

My left eye is still slightly swollen. I really like my eyes now. The surgery really did open up my eyes. biggrin.gif
I'm glad I got it done. Mine was the non-incisional method. I'm a lil worried that the stitches will come off. blink.gif cause I heard it may not be permanent unlike other methods. But anyways, the only down side after I got it done is that now when I don't get enough sleep, My eyes will look puffy. Lol.. I didn't have the problem with my single-eyelids.
And now that my eyes are open-up.. I feel sleepier.. XD Lol.. I don't think that's possible..
