AHHH! OMFG!!!! I'm totally freaking out!!!! I love Fightstar to death!!!! This is no exaggeration at all!! Grand Unification? BRILLIANT!!!!!! Charlie Simpson's really a great musician! I mean, out of all three boys from Busted, anyone could tell Charlie had the most talent (no diss to James or Matt), that voice!!
You could tell Charlie saw himself musically evolve differently from the other two and though I'm still sad that Busted broke up, Charlie's made a graceful and superb transition from pop-punk to post-hardcore/rock( what ever you want to put them down under).
Okay, I know I'm ranting about Charlie, but the group as a whole is pure genius. Dan, Charlie, Omar, and Al <3 them!!!
"Here Again (Last Conversation)" blows my mind away because it seems to bring me back to my high school days for some reason. Their whole album rocks...
gahh....I'm just ranting now. LOL

OMFG THAT'S LIKE MY FAVOURITE SONG BY THEM! and it's kinda sad how people diss fightstar because of chaz's past. like at the downloads festival, i heard they held up signs showing how much they hate fightstar. and at one of their concert's somebody threw a bottle of paint at chaz, it's really really sad.

Yeah I heard about the paint! Apparently it happened at their first concert. I think it was an angry Busted fan. They blame him for Busted breaking up, but come on, they were going to break up anyway sooner or later.

People are stupid for giving Fightstar crap just because Charlie was in Busted. Who really cares? It's more about the music than about what the musicians used to do. Is it a crime to be able to sing more than just one genre? He's not being something he isn't. Argh, it just annoys me.... dry.gif

But yeah, I love "Here again"! When I first heard it, I had to go back and play it again. laugh.gif

yeah, like some people make bad comments about chaz, and they don't give a chance for him, i think we should really respect his choice for leaving busted, forget about the past and just hope that fightstar will create more awesome music! biggrin.gif

Yeah, it's their loss for missing out on Fightstar's superb music just because of Charlie's past project. I hope they come to the US for a tour some day. biggrin.gif

^ Yeah, I definitely agree that the reason why Busted broke up was because Charlie wanted out. But, I mean, I don't "hate" him for doing so. His interests lied in a different kind of music, and I think he wanted more credibility as an artist. People change, and obviously Charlie wanted to do a different sound from what Busted did. He even admitted that he didn't want to portray a clean-cut punk rocker anymore.

Consider this though, had Busted stayed together, they would have gotten quite played out and repeatitive. Not only that, but why should Charlie continue doing Busted just to keep everyone happy?

I mean, I miss Busted, but look at what's happened. Charlie formed Fightstar, which is an amazing band. James went on to form Son of Dork, whom, not surprisingly, is a HUGE and widely popular band. I won't compare them to Busted, but they're songs are catchy and fun! And Matt...WOW!!! His solo career is GREAT!

And the thing with Charlie using Busted for popularity? blink.gif Really? I've never heard of it. Can you explain more?

well i dont really think charlie used busted to get popular, like maybe he likes to be in busted, but because he likes heavy metal more so he decided to quit busted?

I remember him saying in an interview that when he first joined Busted he thought that it was just going to be fun to be in a band that sings silly songs and have a good time. He had no idea how huge Busted was gonna be.

Fightstar news:
-The band recently left their label and are currently searching the market for a label that is more willing to give the guys more freedom when it comes to what kind of music they do.
And....
-they're planning to come to the US soon!!! w00t.gif
