Guest kiss*kiss
Artist: INTERPOL Album: Our Love to Admire (7/10/07) 1. Pioneer To the Falls 2. No I In Threesome 3. The Scale 4. The Heinrich Maneuver 5. Mammoth 6. Pace Is the Trick 7. All Fired Up 8. Rest My Chemistry 9. Who Do You Think 10. Wrecking Ball 11. The Lighthouse I'm kind of surprised there's no thread for them. I first caught onto INTERPOL when they came out with Say Hello to Angels but then I didn't hear from them for awhile. I know Slow Hands made it around but for some reason I never got into it. After hearing Heinrich Maneuver I was lured back into INTERPOL. I was reminded that Paul Banks has a ridiculously handsome/unique voice. I know he gets compared to Joy Division's singer, but whatever, I prefer Banks. I'm determined to see them live-- but unfortunately I won't be able to see them when they come to Washington (in law school). I like Heinrich Maneuver and No I in Threesome off their latest album the best. Pioneer to the Falls and a few others aren't that bad. Their sound has changed a bit since I first heard them (they sound more... produced/refined and I don't say that in a negative way). IMO, this album doesn't disappoint. Anyone else a fan? Guest juhjuh
I like Interpol, but I don't think I can call myself a fan xD I haven't even heard Our Love to Admire yet *shoots self* But I loved Turn on the Bright Lights and Antics a lot. I even love the remixes lol. I'm gonna check out Heinrich Maneuver now xD
Guest petit_charat
album is already out here in oz... but haven't gotten around to listening to it fully and closely. Heinrich maneuver is a great song.. grabs my attention whenever it comes on his voice is that distinct indie voice... if that makes sense. sort of like the vocalist from Editors but more deep. and he does sound a bit like Ian Curtis from Joy Division.. Guest HeffyEnd
Man, I gotta show VersusVillain this thread. She's CRAZY about them. I really liked this album. The first 3 songs are probably my favorites. And Pace is the Trick.
Guest VersusVillain
kjklfjlkdfnmm,n,mndfjknds. The critical response is a bit disappointing, but I think it's still one of the best reviewed albums of the summer (?). And like, I loved it. My favorites are Pace is the Trick and The Scale. And Paul is sexy. Oh, the things I would do to that man.
