Party Monster Fears Boyfriends Too

Michael Alig is both 'obsessed with his grand reentry into New York nightlife' and
afraid he'll never find a boyfriend when he gets out of jail, the New Yorker
reported this week, after the club kid killer revealed he's become incontinent in
jail.

The infamous former New York promoter spoke to the magazine at the Elmira
Correctional Facility where's he's ten years into a 10-20 year term for slaughtering
and dismembering Angel Menendez though received little sympathy from local portal
Queerty

"If we were Alig, we'd be more worried that people would fear getting murdered," the
New York site scoffed, "(and being) hacked into pieces and thrown into the Hudson
River".

Alig's ex-boyfriend DJ Keoki, disagreed, however, telling Skrufff 'I don't think
Michael will have a problem finding someone to be with, he has plenty of admirers
and detractors who can't wait to meet him.'

Keoki dated Alig for 9 years in the 80s and early 90s, splitting up 3 years before
Alig killed Angel Melendez though continues to correspond by letter, he said.

"I have never been afraid of Michael and do not fear him now; ironically Michael is
responsible for installing some powerful early seeds of fearlessness in me," said
Keoki.

"He is, and will probably always be the most incredible person I've ever met. He has
also done the most horrific things I've ever seen or imagined," he added.

Alig also told the New Yorker magazine he hopes to one day emulate the success of
clean-living ex club kids Ru Paul and Larry Tee, saying 'you can be edgy without
being self-destructive' prompting an illuminating response from Larry.

"Can Michael still make New York City spin? I can't rule anything out because not so
long ago I was a total druggie burnout has-been in New York City, especially when I
was in Recovery early on," Larry told Skrufff.

"I totally battled with the idea that I couldn't be the wildman of New York
nightlife if I led a drug-free life, but in fact I find that I have more fun clean
and the same might be true for Michael. And 'edgy' is the new mainstream anyway,
innit?" he laughed.

"I don't think drugs make a person less edgy or more edgy, just like I don't think
drugs make a person more of a murderer or less of one," Keoki agreed.

"It is my belief that you either have it in you or you don't and I never worry about
losing my edge for that reason. But having said that, when it comes to planning and
accomplishing a mission like writing, recording and releasing an album or even
killing a person and disposing of them, drugs can and most often do, wreak havoc on
your plans. They destroy your enthusiasm and ultimately ruin your mission. Though of
course I can only speak from experience in the former," he added.
