So I guess my subject title says it all.
I loooove viet music, but my sister usually does all the downloading.
She burns her songs and then deletes it.. and it leaves my itunes all messed up.

So I was wondering if any of you viet music lovers out there know of any good sites to download new && recent songs/albums or what not from... and if you felt like sharing with me haha.

it's just all a matter of listening to the good artists, and differentiating them from the ones who can't sing. lol

lol Vietnamese people seem to always hate themselves the most.

We dont hate ourself a lot, it's just that we can see our songs almost are copied from foreign songs, but we hope it would change in the future since we've just joined in WTO. BTW you guys ever heard of "TRINH CONG SON" SONG WRITER? He's the most famous talent song writer of Vietnam.

i like some of the viet music. you just have to listen to the right songs, be open minded and not have a pre-biased opinion that all viet music suck.

gotta agree with you there. There're always plenty of good Viet songs around and good artists, if you can just be more open-minded and selective in the song choices.

As to where to download Viet music, the place I go to the most is yeuamnhac.com. It is statistically one of the largest online forums for music in Vietnam.

Lol yea, I have been through a viet music craze. On and off, not until last year, I found out that most of the song were well copy off. Some were good some were not good.

uhmmm yea.. Viet music is tight if u listen to the truly talented artists... there are like too many singers rising out of no where in VN music industry now.. and most of them suck lol no offense.. i like those arists that are famous from 2000-2004ish i think.. like Phuong Thanh, Cam Ly, May Trang, Van Quang Long [his voice is really good], My Tam, Pham Thanh Thao, Pham Khanh Hung [his voice is good too], Thu Thuy, Quang Dung etc...

i personally NOT recommend these: Mat Ngoc, Dinh Tien Dat [he's known as a rapper, but he SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS.. seriously ]

Watch out for Ung Hoang Phuc's songs though ... he got a nice voice.. but whenever he goes like "woah woah woah. " or scream, or something like that.. the song is disastrous hehe

I've always wanted to listen to them, but then the titles are in Vietnamese and I can't read it. It's just some are slow or something, I'm more of an R&B person. I was wondering if anyone can recommend me any good Vietnamese R&B songs? It's nice hearings songs I can understand.

Hrrmmmm... besides V.4Men (IF NOT LISTEN TO THEM THEY SO COOL) loooooooooooool. Well the list is limited. Have you heard of Ung Dai Ve? I reckon he's good (song: Ngoi Sao Co Don Ft. Lil Knight). My Tam and Ho Ngoc Ha's new albums? My Tam released one that's part Korean part Viet (Vol. 5 Vut Bay) . And Ho Ngoc Ha (Vol. 3 Muon Noi Voi Anh) has an album in Viet produced by some Japanese company (some of the tracks sound alright).

and yeah... viet music tends not to be "poppy", the good stuff tends to be soulful... dunno why, like talented ppl just aren't into poppy stuff or sumthing >_< but i'm sure there are a few out there that are worth listening to, i'm so far behind.

so... I guess Nhat Trung isn't a pop composer, but I think he's a talented young musician. I love that Tinh Trai Ngang song he sang with his late gf La Suong Suong. Anyone else know any recent Viet stuff, like in VN? Cuz I don't keep up with things inside the country.
