EDIT: I found the line you're talking about. I think you read a bad translation. I believe its more something like 'I'll hug my chest and stand out more than usual'. its not really 'perking up'. and 'mune' is probably meant along the lines of 'heart' or 'chest' rather than 'breasts'.

I agree, I love her short hairdo, I duno why some ppl ranting about hating Hikki with short hairstyle, I thought it looks much better than Passion days. long hair was cute, but short hair suits her better!

YUP! I can say Utada's voice (and most songs?) are unique.
Utada's voice emits a slight vibrato that causes it to sound very emotional in some of her songs. I believe that this quality in her voice adds much flavor to her singing.
Compared to BoA's English CD, I was very pleased with Hiki's latest English release. It reminds me of why she became one of my favorite Japanese artists many years ago. My personal favorite on her latest album is "This One (Crying Like a Child)."

Ray is a twat, don't listen to what he says lol. He finds the SMALLEST things to complain about and then makes insignificant little remarks, especially the 'traveling' comment. She sings about two people's hearts getting closer, not about perking up her breasts
. Sorry for being mean, but I've gone through this thread and it appears that Ray has a history of making uneducated comments regarding Utada. Why bother being a fan if all you can do is insult her and make up crap? Seriously, there's a difference between being a critical fan and just a troll,

Anyway...Debuting on #178 is not too shabby. If only she had physical albums to accompany the debut, I'm sure she would have sold much more. If digital album sales make up about 25-30% of all album sales, then using this method of calculation would have resulted in about 10k for a first week tally. That's using only the formula though, so you could give or take a few thousand. Hopefully the album doesn't fall into an abyss of nothingness by the time the physical album hits shelves T_T. And I know that everyone is tired of hearing this, but NEW ALBUM COVER, PLEASE!

I should know about her! and yah your comment about her album cover made me curious, and you are right, this album cover does not do justice to such a great artist! She deserves a better cover!! I hope the guy that made that got fired or something...
She sings so good... I love come back to me.... wow. And she said that she writes all of her songs! that's so rare in industry these days!! omg. how did I not know about her before??? and I heard only her digital cd came out first? I guess they were trying to save at the last minute the album cover, but it did not work... ;__;

that was a really good cover, they actually made it their own, and it has a different feel to Utada's version.

kind of mad cuz today i went to the cd store in the mall and i saw that they had a poster of utada. it was in the trance section. my boyfriend and i checked the pop section and the trance section. we even asked the sales guy and he had no clue, and said he would check the computer. 10 minutes goes by and he never comes back. ugh i got impatient and we just left the store. i really would have liked to buy the cd, instead of just having the itunes copy.

the page says that , Myspace japan karaoke is only available within japan. T___T ...meaning that apparently no one outside japan can enter the contest ...for now anyway. hope they dont back out on the US version of this.

as far as I know its not released until may 12th right??
so maybe if you go back then they might have it??

I was on my myspace and I noticed from the updates that some of my acquaintances added her song, and they really had no idea who she was.
I don't watch a lot of television nor do I listen to the radio, but I heard that some have her her song playing on the radio.

Today, while i was in the car listening the radio, i was really surprise to hear her song. Normally the station i listen to only plays overrated popular songs, but out of nowhere her song was on and i actually like it.
I have high hopes for utada hikaru, i really hope she gets noticed.

Funny you say that because chances are she'll become overrated in the States. I mean it's only natural if she (or anyone for that matter) is going to be a pop sensation anywhere in America.
I love her all the same though; at least we can say we liked her stuff before she hit the States.

yeah from what i heard you dont have to preorder it but preorder she said will gaurantee that she will sign it. i hope this is not a scam trying to boost sales lol

From what I heard, I dont think you have to preorder it from the store, but you do have to buy it from the store to be eligible to get it signed.
