I got a call today saying the event in LA is cancelled. They said she is sick. Not sure about the other cities if it is pushing through. Major sadness. Hope she is okay.

I went by Best Buy today and they had it. They had it laid out with the rest of the Artists who are releasing their album this week. I thought that was good. I got the last copy. No idea how many were there to begin. My copy had 3 bonus tracks - Simple & Clean,Sanctuary(Opening) and Sanctuary(Ending).

i got the album. on it , a sticker saying she sold over 30 million records world wide isupposed they referring to her japanese cds.

This girl don't care about TITO at all. Look at her releasing a Japanese single and canceling promotion when her album is just hitting stores. She doesn't deserve any success with that effort. It's so funny that IDJ seems to be trying this time around but Utada's just being lazy.


Of course, if it was for her English albums like Exodus, then she wouldn't be considered a bomb outside of the Japanese market.

my friend told me last week abt the signing session that was supposed to happen in sf today and i heard a couple days back that it was being canceled and just now my friend called to see if i wanted to go but i had to tell him it was canceled and he didnt believe me so he had to check for himself.. and he's supposed to be the bigger utada fan.. haha. and a major coincidence is that the epik high fanmeeting also supposed to happen today in sf and the one i was planning to go to before heading over to utada's is also canceled... T____T what an unlucky day.

I suppose a lot of you have heard already; I've had to cancel the instore events that were scheduled for this week.

The reason is, I'm sick. I came down with a case of "peritonsillitis"---it's basically a more severe form of tonsillitis, in which the area around the tonsils get badly swollen as well.

This happens this to me once or twice a year, when I'm extremely tired and my immune system gets in bad shape.

I was in bed this past week, making daily trips to the hospital to get intravenous administration of hardcore medication, and now I'm near the end of the recovering stage, but the problem with this condition is that I have to be very careful until it is completely take care of, as it tends to easily come back.

It was decided that I'm in no shape to be traveling and working for a while.

I'm trying to rest as much as possible, relax a little and take it easy.

I apologize to my fans who were looking forward to the events, and to everyone involved with organizing these events.

The reason why Utada had to cancel her store appearances is because she is sick, it's not coz she is 'lazy'. In fact both Utada and IDJ want TITO to work and become big hence the title ' THIS IS THE ONE'. She actually deserves ALL the success she can get, she's been promoting her US career in the states for a few months now... Her getting sick is such bad timing so now she has to stay in Japan.
And about that japanese release, Utada ISN'T the one releasing the single, it is an old record company which Utada use to be under when she was with U3. THe song is an old song, it is nothing new.... It's just a record company trying to make money

Got the actual cd yesterday, didn't know it'd come with 3 bonus albums. How awesome.

I have to say I agree with EricXL. There's something still missing. They both aren't quite hitting the mark or getting it (What's up with the lyrics that Utada is singing??? )
I've listened to some of the songs that they both did previously (korean and japanese songs)....and the style they are both going for in America is really different from what i know....it's almost like their changing themselves to fit the market. I rather they do it the other way around. Isn't that what music is suppose to do?....change people and inspire?

Oh wells, me being Singaporean don't really get what's so attractive about the American market that we see so many Asian artiste do a whole lot of back banding and matrix sort of twisting and re-fitting into the picture....just to get noticed.

I'm NOT bashing any of the (good) work that Se7en, Boa, Wondergirls, Utada....etc. etc are doing.
But is it so difficult for them artiste to horn their skills real well from where ever they come from, get people to like them real well in their own countries, get themselves real familiar AND COMFORTABLE with the language AND THAN do some music in America that they FEEL GOOD about?
They all seem to missed one or more of all of the above....

A lot of them (except maybe utada) seem really UNCOMFORTABLE AND LOST at what the heck is happening.

I mean, if you are already so recognised in your home country, i would think the last thing that somebody would do is to be so desperate for success in some other country....

Why can't they just be contented with their own lot? Cos there's a thin line between wanting to "advance and improve oneself musically because i'm unable to continue doing so in my home market" and just the greed the envy of wanting "to conquer America"

And the feeling I'm getting is a lot of them are gunning for the 2nd option.....there seems to be so little personal thought by the singer. they almost seem drowned by the press conferences and marketing strategies where's their OWN OPINION on the stuff that's going on and where the MUSIC THEY ARE PUTTING THEIR NAME ON?

i know utada is still sick and all, but i'd say that its hurting her promotional activities in america for the album. I mean, this is the best time to be promoting in while its just debuted and still hot and fresh.

i dont want to see the album slipping away, which is already happening on the billboard charts. i'd say a large part of her #69 debut on billboard is attributed to fans getting the album, now she needs to promote the album hard if she's looking to see any success in the US this time around.
