First day sales for PoL. A bit disappointing even with the drama tie-in, but it is a re-cut single after all.
But I believe Heart Station has outsold Ultra Blue though. (: People are probably buying the album over the single.

I agree with you on why u love Hikki's music. ^^ Now, at the same time i am NOT saying DBSK and BoA don't put effort along w. all of the other artists... because they are my two favorite artists...But I do find Hikki's music more... "fresh" and "new?" perhaps is the word?? Partly because she writes practically everything...I thought Heart Station was brilliant. I am excited for the American album...I REALLY hope she gets the attention she deserves. How can she be so big in one place and not known in the other?? (rhetorical question...lol)

For me Utada United 2006 is one of the best concert I've ever seen
Im a BIG fan of dbsk and i think their concerts are great BUT I watch Utada United more than theirs or any artists in particular

There is somehow bad review on Utada United like this ONE
I think when you appreciate singers like Utada Hikaru, you will realize that she sings from her soul
and Utada United 2006 is the most soulful concert ever!!

My favorite would be all the songs she sings when she wore that red dress--AMAZING!
Whether she's getting tired breathless whatsoever, the songs were delivered well~

She worked too hard for that concert, I guess it has damaged her voice a bit
Nevertheless, she still produces what I call as masterpieces
Prisoner of Love and Flavor of Life are sugooiii!!

She's just super talented if I were to compare her w present performers these days~

it's her singing her songs w/ SMAP, sure feels wierd to hear other ppl singin her songs. still her voice best!

I was pleased to see a thread dedicated to Hiki. She has been one of my favorite Japanese artists ever since I heard "Automatic" years ago. What hooked me to her music was her R&B style, and I think that her Collection album is absolutely golden. The song that always comes to my mind when I think of her is "First Love." It resonates of a passionate heart that I believe is well demonstrated by her unique voice. Songs like that create a deep impression on me.

Though I have enjoyed her latest releases, I hope she decides to return to R&B. I always thought she was well suited for that.

I did not notice any urban elements composed in that song. It sounds like a pop song. Compare it to "Exodus '04," and you will notice a dramatic difference in style.

I got into Hikki like.. my second year of moving here to Canada [three years ago]
I liked how her songs were so light and "flowy".. and how it made me feel all fantasy-like ^^ ~

I wanna hear Prisoner of Love now since everyoen is recommending it..
I really liked her HEART STATION album. Its SO cool, man.

^ prisoner of love is seriously so good. I wouldn't say it's light and flowy since it has a distinct steady beat/rhythm throughout the song.

but its the beat + her voice that makes it such a great song. i also like the lyrics. very addictive

i honestly really enjoy hikki's new style of music.
there's much more of an ethereal electronic influence... with just enough pop melodies but plenty of experimental sounds to appeal to the masses.
it's fresh, it's modern, it's new.

i am just amazed that she composes all of her music, to my knowledge.
trust me, it's not easy at all.

I've been a fan of Hikki since her First Love days! (back in good ol' 98 lol)

What separates her from other mainstream artists is that she is original . She writes/composes/arranges 99% of her songs.. And although it's not her strongest forte, her voice is definitely one-in-a-kind. What amazes me about her is her musical ability

I love her latest album. The songs flow so well and they're just simple without being overly clever or tryhard. My favorites (non-singles) from this album are Fight The Blues, Celebrate, and POL.

i'm always there to support her american career

Hopefully she does. But since Last Friends is over, she won't be getting the boost every weekend like she did before. Seeing as how her album still sells pretty well though, Heart Station will probably surpass the million mark.

I'm still stuck on Stay Gold...such a beautiful, sparkly song *_*. Ultra blue was really good too.

Deep River was one of the first Jpop albums I've ever heard & bought, and remains a personal classic.
I pretty much like all her albums, and lately I've been giving Ultra Blue a lot of spins...it's actually pretty trippy for a pop album...very unique sounding.

i love sakura drops ~ amazing.

Kingdom Hearts made me get like 10 of her albums, and I love her piano melodies.

A friend of mine introduced me to her with her song "First Love". Because of that song that I got to love her and started listening to her other songs. I admit that I didn't like most of her songs, but there are also that makes up for it.
