I can't say I hear anything unique in that song. It sounds like standard fair these days. There was an oddity to some of the lyrics:

That just sounded rather odd to me. Let's hope this isn't a single she's hoping to capitalize on with American audiences. Her Exodus album has more of a club or niche appeal. So without knowing the other tracks it seems that she is trying to do a more general album.

I really like this song too~~ It kinda reminds me of another English song I've heard before, but it's not bad.

i like this song way better than easy breezy. no matter what anyone says i think exodus was way better than most albums put out by so called artists now. the workout is my jam. hopefully, island will do way better with the promotion this time around.

It most likely is boy, but I was basing my reply on the on screen text displayed on the YouTube video.

Compare to her Exodus album the new one will be somewhat more mainstream which is a good thing. I like the new song despite it being generic to what we usually hear because it's catchy and Utada self-produced. I'm excited to get a hold on the album but have to wait since it won't be released until March (March 24 for U.S. and March 4 for Japan.) I'm hoping for Flavor of Life in English because I'm still hook on that song and the instrumental is heaven to me.

Hopefully it will get enough airplay on radio so the song can be a huge success.

I think it's okay that it sounds like the typical American RnB mainstream considering that that's what Americans like and

she's American, so there will always be that American flavor in her songs when she composes English songs.

Anyways, I really like the lyrics...they make sense and it's not sexual.

i'm hoping this is a song that's supposed to draw the mainstream music listeners in. i mean, nothing's wrong with it, i lovvve it, but i hope there are a couple of "hikki-style" tracks on here too -- by that i mean tracks similar to first love, or distance, etc.

I actually like it..i think it's a good step that it sounds a bit generic if it would capture american audience-it's not a bad idea..this type of ballad is pretty popular nowadays..

Utada’s official Japanese website has been updated with news regarding the release dates for her upcoming English language album. The as yet untitled album will be released domestically in the States on Tuesday March 24th, 2009, while a Japanese release of March 4th, 2009 has been confirmed. This follows the pattern set by Utada’s debut English language album, “EXODUS,” when the Japanese edition was released a full month earlier than the US version.

I like her new song, but somehow her voice sounds different maybe its a little lower? idk I might just be imagining things.
