Hey, new poster. So there's no set date for an American album? I love Come Back To Me so far, that song I think is better than her Exodus songs. Hope she does well this time, I just keep saying if she ever did a song like the ones she did for Kingdom HEarts it'd be great.

Hi I'm pretty new here

I'm a fan of Hikki for a while as she did introduced to me to the Jpop world that I thought is only for anime soundtracks
I don't know if this is asked or not. I just wanted to know,

Well hello, hello!
Is it too late even for a belated belated Happy New Year?
I'm finishing up my new album right now. There's no way it can be released as early as IDJ has announced lol But they are rushing to get this out there for all of you to hear, and that is a very good sign

It means the album sounds gooood

I started up a myspace page! (Is "page" the right word?) You can listen to my new single there.
I do plan to start posting messages on myspace soon, start up a dialogue with peeps who have posted messages for me, but that feels premature at the moment. Maybe when I am finished with the album, when, hopefully, we will have managed to generate some sort of response to the music, outside of the internet.
Having said that, I'd like to clarify that this u3music site will remain to be the most personal ("chatty") outlet of my thoughts and feelings.
Yours Truly,
Utada

I prefer to watch her live performances over her MVs coz the MVs are mostly too unrealistic
Anyway my fav would be :-
Can You Keep A Secret - i love the robot. love love.
Dareka No Negai - her ex husband did the job well I guess
Prisoner Of Love - so simple and so Utada..~ I cant stop staring at the beautiful pumps ~ hehe

The disappointing director is Anthony Mandler, who makes the most uninteresting music videos. It's not surprising since Utada usually fails to deliver the whole package.

We don't even know what this package is yet. She's more than likely retooled herself since the Exodus days so we should expect to see something new and/or fresh for her in this second attempt at cracking the American market. You really shouldn't judge the video and/or the director until you see the video.

I would imagine so, it would be kind of pointless for her to release anything and not try to promote it. They've probably already started playing something off the new album in California and New York since they've already started playing some of BoA's new English language album in those states.

Confirmed Tracklist for the album
QUOTE
The album will feature at least 10 songs written by Utada[8]. 6 songs produced by Stargate, and 4 songs produced by Tricky Stewart[9].
Come Back To Me: This song is to be released as the album's first single, and was produced by Stargate.[8] The song has been described as a 'slower, R&B mid-tempo ballad'.
Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence – FYI: According to Utada's myspace page, this song includes samples from experimental pianist Ryuichi Sakamoto and references to the film "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence". Also, she recalls this song as a central moment in determining her final vision of the album. "I recorded the demo in December of 2007," she says, "but it was a difficult song, and I wasn’t satisfied with it—I had to try to get to the bottom of it. And then just a few months ago, I suddenly came up with the right lyrics, changed the melody in places, and it made sense."
Me Muero: This song was described as "flirty" and "sophisticated", and is also Utada's personal favorite track on the album. Me Muero translates to "I die" in Spanish. Produced by Stargate.
Apple & Cinnamon: Described as "breezy", Utada recalls that this song came almost too easily to her. Produced by Stargate.
