The MV was pretty simple but she looks GORGEOUS! The dresses were pretty too. Expecially the one at the end. It made her look so pretty. <33
I just didn't like the slicked hair and red lipstick. lol.

i thought it was a good video for reintroducing utada to the us market. she is a pretty girl and was definitely eye catching in the vid. hopefully that'll garner her a second look and thus a second listen.

I love Hikki. I love the song
But the MV fails to impress me, because I picture so many things they could do with that "lyrics", literally. But aside from looking gorgeous and constantly changing her clothes, she does nothing but wanders around.
The Mv is so boring.

I actually think she looks really nice with the slicked hair. Kinda reminds me of Midori from the movie Casshern. I'm not saying she looks old (lol), but elegant and mature. I think the red lips work, but at times it's a bit too much. I dunno. lol

The red lips and moving around looking pretty reminds me of Rehab, which was directed by the same director.

^ if you check out the director's stuff, they're pretty much the same. lots of pretty cinematography (he's really into that bright, high glam, retro glossy thing) but also lots of awkward posing/staring at the significant other/into space headshot happy scenes. but i did like the video he did for john legend's "everybody knows." and it's definitely what's "in" right now in terms of music videos.
also, he usually posts HQ versions of his videos on his website so check back later to see:

I wasn't liking the slicked hair and red lipstick. But it was okay.
I liked her the best with the brown dress? Not bad.

But he is hot!!!

Anyway, I really like Utada outfits and her hair except behind her ears. The pv was plain, but I see what was going on. The pv have to be interest for the American people since it is all about "showing skin, dress too sexy, and expensive stuff." Utada knows what she is doing. She following the four ways to express America : show skin, dress sexy, expensive stuff, and hottie. Utada shows of her shoulders and legs which by the way look very classy. The outfits wasn't over sexy, but sexy in a classy way. The expensive stuff to add in the mv. The last part was add the hottie in the pv which he looks very hot and classy not over kill with body oil with no shirt.

I like the mv. It's a lot better than her first US single music video. The mv was nicely done and she looks very pretty in it although I'm not digging the red lips and hair-slick-back look. Overall, I'm excited for her US comeback again.

The Japan release date was going to be the on the fourth of this month right? But it has moved to the 3/14 while the U.S. release date is 5/12.
I heard
Come Back To Me on the radio about an hour ago. I blasted the volume up high when I heard it

But i was so busy with BoAs EYU.

"Come Back To Me" has grown on me over the past 2 weeks. Some parts of the lyrics are still EHHH but I like the chorus and I'm so excited to hear the rest of the album!!

Is it true "Automatic Part II" is playing on the radio in Japan already? I want to hear it, but no luck so far =\

EXCITED...........
As I was driving home yesterday and was listening to the radio... her song came her... I got all excited and turned the radio louder... I was like, yea... finally showing some asian love... after the song was done playing... the radio guy said... "this is a new cover from U tada" U T A D A... U tada... I was like fool, her name is not YOU tada... it's Ouutada/UTADA... I was thinking of calling the radio station and correct the dude but I was driving and so I didn't...
but I'm just excited that her song was played in my town... and so I'm pretty sure it's going to be play everywhere else... I'm so happy for Utada... she has a lot of potential here in the US... and so now I'm just waiting for her album to come out... so I can go buy it at the store...
Oh and I'm going to start requesting for that song to be play more... now that I know they have her single...

I'm a bit disappointed with Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence. My expectations were too high. (I love the original)

Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence - "NYC NYC what up, Tokyo Tokyo what up"
Dirty Desire - "love you long time" <-- I know this phrase is pretty popular, but I think it's what Asian hookers used to say.
Edit:
http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1591868/2...ado_nelly.jhtmlFor Exodus,
Easy Breezy - "i'm japanesey" "konnichiwa, sayonara"
Exodus 04 - "traffic jams in Tokyo"
Let Me Give You My Love - "eastern, western people"
Work Out - "so i showed him how people in the far east get down"
BTW, although I'm a huge Utada fan (probably my favorite artist), I'm kind of sick of her singing about sex. It's like she's so happy she gets to sing about sex in English because it would be taboo in Japan. Plus she should get some co-writers... although some of her Japanese lyrics can be iffy too... "miraa ga utsushidasu maboroshi wo ki ni shinagara itsu no mani ka sokudo ageteru no sa" <- lol :x

You can now hear a preview for "Apple And Cinnamon" And "Taking My Money Back" on the link I provided earlier which again, both sound awesome especially Apple And Cinnamon (which I'm assuming is hinting at her divorce). Taking My Money Back is also nice but a little too typical but it's still decent. Album is definitely shaping up to be amazing. Cannot wait to hear every song!

The lyrics are part of the song, so I don't get how you would set it aside...? I have to say her lyrics are pretty weak in the previews so far. Not up to her usual standards.
I'm pretty disappointed with Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. I thought it would have been better since she's been working on this song for some time. It was one of the songs I was hyped up for.

i remember when 'first love' was such a craze in the usa
my non-japanese friends kept recommending the song to me
and i'm wondering why because my fav songs come from mtv and vh1
when i heard it i wasn't so crazy about it either
i think has a good voice
just that her songs are too poppish
her voice is too mature and her songs are too kiddie-like
she should sing with more instrumentals and not like fantasy techno beats
