Congrats to Ohno-kun and Nino~ they definitely deserve those awards. And I'm especially happy for Nino because his performance in Door to Door was beyond AMAZING. So Nino is the first Johnny's to go to Hollywood and now he's the first Johnny's to win this award? His talents just amaze me sometimes.

Yeah, Aiba was present during the magic show. His seat was a little further from Jun, next to the lady in green.
The camera catches a couple glimpses of him. For some reason, he was turned away from the rest of them.
Not sure why he is seated farther from the boys. He probably lost at janken or something....although there was plenty of room for him. :/

I've been a JE fan for a while now (2 years NEWS fan) and when I watch the Countdown most of Arashi's songs do catch my attention like Sakura Sake and Tomadoi Nagara, but I wasn't a big fan until recently w/ my all time favorite Arashi song "One Love". I absolutely love this song because it's like the perfect song to describe Tsukasa&Tsukushi's love in Hanadan. I've been rewatching most of Jun's recent dramas and he has now converted me. I also like the other members too, but I'm not well acquainted with them (yet); however, out of all the JE groups I really envy the closeness that Arashi shares as a group (I wish NEWS members could be like that w/ each other).

Anyways, I'm blabbering. Nice to meet everyone!

Hello! My first post here!

I don't know many J-Pop artists, but i got to find out about Arashi through BoA & THSK.

I was searching BoA videos, and there was a video of NINO mentioning THSK & BoA on his radio show (?)
So that was the start of my liking for Arashi. My favorite member is Nino!
He looks very young.

So im new to them, but is there like an active forum that i can join?

^You can join Aibakaland forums, which is the most active that I'm aware of. They have TONS of hilarious videos subbed so check them out and watch them, especially Arashi no Shukudaikun. Alot of their older shows were probably one of the best shows like D no Arashi and G no Arashi and all those episodes are subbed on livejournal. Arashi is the JE group with the most subbed clips/shows/ and etc. so please do check those out!

I haven't checked out that site yet, but I've been to various arashi lj and arashi fansubbing group. I'm just sad that Stormy fansubs have decided to prune their members and limit the membership for the time being.

Hmm... after watching a few of their behind the scenes clips, it seems to me that Matsujun is completely different from how I thought he was! From his Tsukasa character and feud w/ Akanishi Jin, I thought Jun would be more loud and talkative, but around Arashi he's pretty quiet and serious sometimes. Very different from how I pictured him to be. Can anyone give me their insights into Jun's character? I'm very interested.

Also, does anyone know if the Tokyo Friend Park w/ Hana Yori Dango cast (Mao, Jun & Shun) was subbed and where I might be able to download it? Thank you in advance!

@ lilsh0rtnancy Jun is actually one of the most caring persons in Arashi, always looking out for others. He is very serious about his preformances and is the 'Concert Riida (leader)' of Arashi because of his perfectionism. He's really nice actually, but thinking he was a 'Domyouji'-figure isn't completly wrong. He's nicknamed Do-S b because he's often really sarcastic, and does kind of have an 'ego'. He's one of the few in JE who atended without having to audition, which can make him kinda snobbish sometimes. (Yet that why most of the fans love him so much). Ehh... If you wanna know more... say so XD

Arashi was my first J-pop encounter, I heard Sakura Sake, and thats when I fell in love. Ever since, I love those guys with whole my heart 8D

Hmmm... yeah, I noticed how serious he was during their rehearsal for the Asia Festival '06. It really surprised me! Cracked me up even more that the leader was just goofing around and having fun. LOL.
I really like Sho too. He seems to be a good MC probably the manliest out of Arashi? I like his voice.

Arashi no Shukudai-kun #134 was pretty funny. It was another No Money SP. It's been a while since they have done Aiba's Sogoroku game. Leader was so lucky for this one! He barely got anything done to him! Poor Sho, Aiba, and Nino were punished by having no screentime. Nino, being the little imp he is, was all "See you next week~!" as he left the stage. XD

m3mi, I completely agree. AAA 2008 is the best concert I've ever seen. It's just beyond amazing. Hopefully Arashi will have another mind blowing concert this year for their 10th anniversary.

hello arashi lovers :] i've been just a silent reader on here but i decided to ask you guys something,
i was wondering if they had an official light stick/glow stick like many korean artists have; since you have to be part of the arashi fan club to get access to a lot of their merchandise do you have to be apart of the fan club to get their light stick (that's if they have an official one).

also does their fan club have a specific name, again like other korean fan clubs or is it just the arashi fan club

sorry if that's a dumb question, i just really want to know,
o and i got a livejournal cause i was told you can get a lot more arashi info there and you can it's really cool you guys should get one if you dont already have one, but it's kinda confusing to me cause i joined some communities but i still think im restricted to certain things from that community, if there are any livejournal whizzes out there hit me up. :]

my favorites im going to have to say are sho and nino <3 more so sho but how can you resist nino? he's just so cute and funny hahah but yeah i really do like all of them though, like i found myself going through phases of a different member that i liked depending on what video clip i was watching of them, they are just so amazing and their chemistry is just so great too.

o one last question sorry about all the questions but in most of the interviews i see with them they talk about how close they are with one another are all the other johnny groups not like that? like is NEWS not that close with one another?

Hi! They don't have an official lightstick, but you can buy the ''penlights'' that they sell at their concerts. The penlight design changes with each concert. Like how the 2007 TIME Con one was heart-shaped and the 2008 Arashi Around Asia tour one was in the shape of an ''A'' (the concert logo).

As for their fanclub, I think it's just called the Arashi FC, the fans don't have ''names'' like fans of Korean groups. Hope this helps!

Their performance on Music Station was nice. I wish the camera focused on the dancing more. Ohno was like glaring at the camera at the end. The talk was funny. I was watching some old videos of their debut and it was exactly like they said: Aiba kept saying "to cause a storm throughout the world." XD

As for the Music Station performance, yeah~ I didn't like the camera angles either. It kept zooming in and out and moving all around which made it hard to see Arashi's dance choreography. But Arashi were amazing as always, great vocals and great dance skills. And the talk part was hilarious~ I love the "honban waaaa" part where Nino and Sho-kun said it at same time and the rest of the members joined in. Looking forward to the upcoming Hey!x3 performance and next week Arashi will appear on Music Station along with Hirai Ken~ I once saw a video clip where Hirai Ken said that he's a fan of Arashi so I'm really excited for this.

Oh, and I'm so happy that they changed the format for Himitsu no Arashi-chan, cuz the old format was really boring. From the preview, it looks like Arashi will become host? LOL can't wait to see it.

I watched them on Youtube. arashiclassic @ Youtube has some videos of them here. This video has Ogura-san interviewing a young Arashi. Ogura-san asks them why they are called Arashi at 2:20ish and Aiba answers with "to cause a storm throughout the world" and etc. This video has the footage of their press conference on the cruiser where they each explain what they are the leader of. I'm sure there's more. You just have to search around. (:
