i've known this oppa for like 1 month. we aren't really close, just friends.
he's like 3 years older than me. he's korean but i'm not so we usually communicate in english. because i'm really interested in korean language so sometimes he tries to talk to me in korean. he talks to me in informal speech. like... "muhk uh ssuh?" etc. something i'm really confused about is that i know i have to use formal speech when i talk to him since he's older but do i speak to him in polite informal speech or polite formal speech?

say, do i say "ha ji ma seh yo" or "ha ji ma yo"??
another example is "mo ha seh yo?" or "mo hae yo?"
another one is "jahl muhk uh yo" or "jahl deu seh yo"?
i dunno, i think it seems weird to use the polite formal speech since he's like only 3 years older but then again, we aren't really close so...

does anyone know what i'm talking about? lol ^^;;

thank you in advance!

i think it's maRahyo since the "l" is between two vowels..so u pronounce it as "R" smile.gif

펑펑 - it's either a sound effect like "bang-bang" or means "heavily/with a rush"

Polite informal speech would be OK. But I would even just use informal speech since you can call him oppa and then it'd be much more comfortable.

I really want to know what this song's all about...sorry...

Find The Way
U Find The Way

Find The Way

Find The Way

Find The Way

Hi everyone. My sister and I were planning to go to Seoul end of this year. But we have no friends at Korea. So, it’s a bit difficult for us to go and visit the most popular place in Korea. Actually we do have here a holiday package 6 days 5 nights with certain amount and they will bring us tour the Korean. But it’s boring, we love tricky and adventures journey. We knew how to read Korean but don’t know what is meant (pity me).

So, do we have to bring along people who knew Korea?

We just loved the sound and the flow of Korean language. It’s awesome. We want to hear and experience by ourselves. I can’t wait to go there.

Hope you guys will help and advices us what we should do.

Thanks

A GIRL LIKE YOU

she is a girl who changes minds, takes chances, turns heads, listens.

she is the first to arrive, the last to leave, the first to lend a hand.

she is unique, irreplaceable, real.

OHHHH. I see. Then you can replace the "I live" part with just.. scout hall. There's really now way for you to translate that literally into Korean with it making sense...

There's nothing like that for romanization. You just need to learn it from the original Korean text.

i just read a poem (maybe not a poem)... it's like this...

.....

......

i don't have any problem with the meaning of the sentences... but i thought 그녀는 다른여자들과 달라 would be better than 그녀는 다른여자들과 달리... becuz of the rhyming thing u kno...

so i asked my mom... she agreed with the writer and said 달리 would be better than 달라 here... but she didn't give me any reason except for "there's no why it's korean honey" -________-^...

would someone pls explain it to me? why 달리 but not 달라? to me 달라 sounds better... don't know if i'm making any sense... sweatingbullets.gif sweatingbullets.gif

How do you say & write this in Korean. Hangul & Konglish please. THANKS! <3

If Cinderella's glass slipper fit so perfectly, I wonder why it fell off along the way?
