^ your parents wouldn't be from gyeongsangdo would they? hehe. if you don't know, gyeongsangdo people can't pronounce the difference, either. uh, i don't know a site, but you can think of it like this. ㅆ is really more how we (at least north americans, i don't know about brits) pronounce s most of the time. it's more closed off and harsher than ㅅ, which is a little rounder. that probably doesn't make sense, but that's how i think of it.

우선 재료가 필요합니다~
김치, 햄, 치즈, 고추장, 들기름 (아니면 버터)

재료 준비 완료면, 김치를 먼저 잘게 썰구요 (small cuts). 양은, 원하는 만큼^^
그다음 햄을 잘게 다져야 돼요 (mince).
김치와 햄 준비가 끝나면, 후라이팬에 들기름 (any oil, like olive oil)을 적당히 붓고, 기름이 약간씩 끓기 시작하면, 김치와 햄을 넣고 볶아요~~~
30초에서 1분동안 볶는후, 밥과 고추장을 넣서 같이 볶으죠. 여기에 원하면 치즈를 넣도 되구요...
고추장은 많이 넣으면.. 좋아요 >_<! 매워야 맛난다는...

I'm also confused with how to use (-go). Heres an example of two of them. Whats the difference between them?

dictionary form verb - "da" + go + shipda.
EX. I want to sleep. -> dictionary form of sleep, jada (자다), -da -> ja, +go, jago, + shipda. jago shipda.
자고 싶다.

Second one means "and", esp in listing things.
