heylo what does '토록' mean?? and '고파지마'? thanks!
NJSK.
^ they don't mean anything unless you stick them with another word..

토록 can also be 도록 (depending on the word before it)

verb + 토록/도록 = until ~, in order for ~ to happen

~지마 is a negative imperative..
so it's like a command that tells you not to do something.

hahaha.. if that's what i think it is, then it says don't pick your nose. hahaha...

코 파지마.

as to the second question, yes, but it'd be better translated without the "until." it sounds weird in english to say, for example, i'll love you till forever. maybe, i'll love you forever, or i'll love you till the end of time. it doesn't really change the meaning to add that, but it adds a little more emphasis that it's undying, eternal, etc.

i'm going to translate these in the most informal way since it's for fun.

Just kidding = 농담이야/장난이야. literally, it's more like saying it was a joke.
I win = 이겼다. it's literally, i won. you could say i'm winning, but saying it in just present tense is weird.
You win = 네가 이겼다.
I guess = this is hard because i don't know if you mean that as in an affirmative but not sure or as in a i don't know kind of thing. i'll leave this one since i'm not sure.
Oops! = 어머나~ that's how a lot of girls would say it. it's really more slang, so it's kind of regionally specific how you might say that.
Ouch! = 아야~ the person above wrote "i'm hurt" or "that hurts" depending on how it's used. the expression i gave you is more like "ouch," which is what someone might say as they stub their toe or something. 아야 is the family friendly version.

Hi oppa! I'm doing really well. I miss everyone already though! Hopefully I'll be back in the summer, so clear your schedule so we can partyyy!

And- of course I will do you this favor. I know what brand you're talking about and it is easy to get. Just show me exactly which products you want and I can probably get them at a department store. Is it going to be huge amounts or what? Anyway, I don't think it will be a problem because they're not that expensive, but shipping from the US to Korea is a little pricey.

Yes, if you're trying to write Mandarin pronunciation in Korean.

If you want to actually translate them into Korean names, this is what you get:

陳慧琳 - 진혜림 - jin hye rim
鄧麗君 - 등려군 - deung ryeo gun

These singers are known more in Korea by their Korean names, not their names written out in Korean to sound like their Chinese names. sweatingbullets.gif

1. The original name EE is adjusted to the english language to sound smooth, so they add an L or sometimes a Y in front of it.

2. This is kind of a "know english" sort of question. It's all about pronounciation, the rules for writing korean using the english alphabet is a hard concept, but this is pretty easy. "eo" makes an "uh" sound.

i think the 'eo' in 'yeoboseyo' would be making the same sound as 'uh' so it doesn't really matter.
