that means Korean is totally differ from Mandarin eh ?
oh my... looks like it is not an easy task. do i really like need to know Korean in order to translate names into Korean ?
i don't get how Ri becomes Ryeo (and so on and so forth) when it is translated..
p/s: i'm sorry if my questions annoy you guys out there. by the way, thanks a lot ya Jaeho !!
You thought Korean and Mandarin was similar?

Korean and Mandarin are totally different languages... I'm sure you know that already, right?
Although Korean is not related to Chinese, Korean vocabulary is about 50% from Chinese. However, Korea has their own pronunciations for Chinese characters.
Try looking in this topic for more Chinese name -> Korean name translations.
麗 is Li in Mandarin, but it's Ryeo in Korean because that's just how it is...
Another example: My name is 載昊 in Chinese. It's Zai Hao in Mandarin, but Jae Ho (재호) in Korean.

林良机 = 림량궤 = Rim Ryang Gwe (gweh)

ahh ok..thanks for explaining..but why is it in the site learnkoreanlanguage.com, it said that the vowel "eo" is when you say the letter"o" slowly, the first sound you make is the sound of "eo"...did i make any sense??
which "o" is the right one to use when you are writing "yeoboseyo?"
thank you...
EO = UH
It's not exactly like the English "uh" but it's similar. Try going to the Sogang site on the first page of this topic and click on the sound clips.
yeoboseyo = 여보세요
EO and O are not interchangeable... if that's what you're asking.

hi can some1 translate the first line?
i know the second line is gamsahamnida..

its a message to ahkichangmin
btw, ahki means baby?
correct me if im wrong and thanks in advance ^^
It says 'thank you for cheering for me'
a better way to write 'baby' is 'agi' because there's no K sound in that word. People have a bad habit of writing K for ㄱ... like Dongbangshinki. It should be Dongbangshin*g*i.

너한테 하고 싶은 말이 있어

Please be aware that these translations are extremely casual and should only be used towards people you know well and are the same age or younger than you.

and this:
Thankies in advanced~~
퍼가요 was already explained on the last page.
And yeah, you have to answer the questions.
아레스 이번 타이틀곡은 무슨곡일까요?
What kind of song is Ares's current title song?
^ that question is kind of vague...
and
T.O는 몇명일까요? (숫자 한자리)
How many people are in T.O? (One numeral)

Can someone please write this out in korean characters for me?
Hi oppa! I'm doing really well. I miss everyone already though! Hopefully I'll be back in the summer, so clear your schedule so we can partyyy!
And- of course I will do you this favor. I know what brand you're talking about and it is easy to get. Just show me exactly which products you want and I can probably get them at a department store. Is it going to be huge amounts or what? Anyway, I don't think it will be a problem because they're not that expensive, but shipping from the US to Korea is a little pricey.
By the way, if you need to know what I'm talking about in order to write it, My cousin wants to know if I would buy from Hanes products and ship them over so he can sell them.
there ya go
