the beginning of your first post is talking about how this is a form that people without a Korean registration number can use to join. Something like after your application is confirmed you'll be able to join. after you join apply to join by fax (fax 82-2-3434-3606) or the operator's mail (dwagent@dreamwiz.com)...and then something about sending the related paper documents. after you apply to join send the related documents within 10 days (or is it by the tenth??) [related documents: proof of identification card, driver's license, copy of your passport, and foreign registration card for the nation you're from]

i don't get the next part but something about foreigners joining and they hope you'll cooperate and be understanding. all the parts of the application form must contain real info; if you're caught lying...something about service limit (?)

its a way of describing a very embarrassing and awkward situation. it's korean slang, and it's pretty new around korea. =) you wouldn't find it in the dictionary, even if you put the two words together =) and if you did, you'd get the wrong meaning ^^

In 두고봐, is the 봐 a contracted form? If it is, what's the full form?

두고 봐 is the abbreviation form of 두고 보자. (봐 = 보자)

두고 봐 (두고 보자) can have two meanings.

First, an advance warning to other(s).
"I’ll do it yet!"
"You will have to pay for this."

Second, promise or predict something (mostly negative things) to others
"I'll bet you that he will (not) come."


두고 is a variation of the fundamental form 두다. 두다 basically means "to leave them be(untouched)" "
보자 (봐) means "let's see" or "look at something"
So, these 2 words combination roughly means "Wait and see what will happen next"

(Sorry for poor English and explanation, anyway I hope you to understand.)

봐 is a conjugated form of 보다 (to see), not a contraction of 보자

Thanks! I knew what it meant though, I was just curious about the contraction thingy. It's part of an "advance warning", I didn't post the entire thing. Korean sounds very cool when it's threatening/devilish. =D

So would the full form be 두고보다? (taking Jaeho's correction) Sounds like "He/She/I keep my guard" though, unless I'm being stupid. Can I say 두고보라? I hate saying 봐 when it's at the end of a sentence.

^ no, there is no full form, because it is in full form itself.

if you wanted, you could say "두고보자", which would mean 'let's wait and see'

it means something's annoying. it's an informal conjugated form; 짓궂다 is the dictionary form of the verb and also another informal form.

an example I guess would be: 은혜는 진짜 짓궂어! (Eunhye's really annoying!)

제 is a humble possessive: 제 이름은 김삼순 입니다. My [humble] name is Kim Samsoon.
저 is a humble first-person pronoun, which is actually more like referring to yourself in the third person.
저는 대학생 입니다. I [humble] am a college/university student.

basically they're similar but one is possessive and the other is not, it's just a regular pronoun. you use them both in formal situations such as speaking to someone of higher status. you wouldn't use them in informal speech.

자기야 is not pronounced with a 'ta' sound.
if you think that then you're thinking of a different word.

as people said before, many people would romanize it jagiya and it's pronounced kind of like that but really more like chagiya.

haha excuse me (the 'excuse me' that you're thinking of) doesn't have a 'ta' sound, either. that would be 저기요 (cheo-gi-yoh, or as Jaeho and some others write it chŏgiyo), as in "Excuse me/Hey you over there, you dropped your purse!"

I just ran into a whole bunch of american kid learning games, and i was just wondering if korea really had them... these games are from like the late 80's and early 90's are all dos based, does anyone know if theres any korean ones available?
