There are different ways to say "honey" in Korean.

Since you said you heard a "ta," maybe it was dangshin (sounds like tangshin)?

And there are many ways to say "excuse me" too... Depends on what kind you're talking about.

Was the jŏgiyo (sounds like chŏgiyo) the "excuse me" you were looking for?

Most of the time, the sounds D, B, G, and J sound like softer versions of T, P, K, and CH when they are infront of a word.

For example, 기도 (gido) sounds kinda like kido, but 아기 (agi) will sound like agi, not aki. However, there *are* separate letters for K, T, P, and CH in Korean.

Many people who don't know Korean cannot distinguish these initial sounds. For example, non-Koreans might not hear much of a difference between 가라 (gara) and 카라 (kara), but they will hear the difference between 이도 (ido) and 이토 (ito).

You can't have an authentic Korean name. It's not possible. You need to be given a Korean name from birth or something.

The closest thing you can get is a "Koreanization" of your name, which is on the previous page.

ㅏ = a (ah)
ㅑ = ya (yah)
ㅓ = eo (sounds like uhh)

ㅡ = eu (hmm sounds like when you say "ugh thats gross", not eww but ugh)

In Korean, W and Y do not have separate letters such as B, G, K, and so on...
They are considered vowels

W is made with combining vowels

왜 - we

it's impossible to say something like "wooh"
And I have no idea why some people write 우 (u) as "woo," which is stupid.

Y is made with using these : ㅑ,ㅕ,ㅒ,ㅖ,ㅛ,ㅠ
야 - ya
얘 - ye
예 - ye
여 - yŏ
요 - yo
유 - yu

it's impossible to say "yi"


It's a name, so there is no way to find out what it means unless you know the Chinese characters for it

Actually, neither of those sentences contains any pronoun at all. The 'you' is implied. Pronouns are left out a lot in Korean. FYI, there are also a lot of different words for 'you,' and a lot of the time people are referred to by name, title, relationship to the speaker, or occupation rather than with a personal pronoun.

Anyway, the bottom line with those two sentences with respect to your question is that there is no 'you' anywhere in either one. You often wouldn't use 'you' in either one, either; you would be more likely to either just say exactly what you wrote or use the other person's name, title, occupation, or relationship to you in lieu of a pronoun.

For example:

Seonbaenimeun annyeonghaseyo? (Are you [a student in a higher year than the speaker] well?)

It might be helpful to think of 'annyounghaseyo' more like "Are you well?" or "Hello" than "How are you?" because people often respond with either the same thing back or by saying "Yes."

맛있다 is correct (and commonly used), but it's in dictionary form, when you speak it, add 아요/어요 to replace "다", since the last vowel is "ㅣ", you say "맛있어요" in this case^^

let me make it more clear, when changin form dictionary form to speaking form, use "아요" to replace "다" if and only if the last vowel isㅏ or ㅗ, otherwise use "어요".

I think chagku means continuously and maria means... Well in your example it sounds like "But, you see..."
