I know the original way of saying '있습니다' was '있읍니다', so the old way of saying 갔습니다 was 갔읍니다, 했습니다 - 했읍니다 and so on?
Just curious.
I believe that is so. I remember when it used to be like that, but now it seems to make more sense to show the sound instead of "carrying it over" to confuse people reading it.

Hello this is the Overseas shipping customer service.
The product you have ordered is UBI blahblahblah, whatever you ordered.
You must order 2 to purchase it.
By ordering 2, you must pay 5800won. This can be seen on the product's specs. page.
Order 2 of the product and you just have to choose one for the choice information (<-- that is strictly a literal translation of 선택정보.)
So the price of the product is not 2900won but 5800won.
Please order again as we have cancelled your requested product.
Have a nice day.
