Couldn't find one on Surfing
Does anyone here surf? I've noticed that there's not many asian surfers where I live (San Diego) or I'm just not noticing.
I'm not sure surfing is considered a sport, at least it's obviously not a team sport.
I started less than a year ago and not very good at it hehe but it's tons of fun. So cold nowadays and can't afford the full wetsuit but I'm planning to get one so that I can go at it again.
Just wondering if there's anyone else who enjoys this

I'm not professionally doing surfing but I enjoyed surfing when I tried it in Hawaii. I basically love any water sport because I swim competetively and I can play waterpolo. Surfing cut up my feet so I haven't tried it since. Plus there's not really a place that I can surf even though I live in California. Everywhere is either too cold and I don't have the proper equipment. but I'm Asian and at least I know how to surf.

i started surfing but i always borrow my friends surf boards. people say for beginners long boards are the best, but i was wondering, does it have to be long boards for beginners? i mean im going to buy a board but im not a rich dude. so i was wondering if i should buy a short board, and if it would make any difference starting off with a short board then a long board.
