AVEENO CLEAR COMPLEXION CORRECTING TREATMENT!!!!!!

This stuff is crazy~! I actually saw an ad for it in a magazine and since I've purchased almost every other acne/blemish fighting medication out there, I thought why not this one too..it's worth a try .

I went to Target and bought the tube, which was about $13. The directions said to apply to the affected area 2-3 times daily, which is common for most acne/blemish medication.

The smell was nice, clean and didn't overwhelm me throughout the day. The medication was white and didn't leave an oily residue on my skin after I applied it (this was probably one of the best part, because my skin is oily and not only does the treatment not weigh my face down, it keeps it fresh and shine-free throughout the day! hurray!).

I saw results within 4 days: my acne began dwindling, the blemishes disappeared, and my skin tone evened out. The medication even moisturized my face and made it feel super smooth~~ WOOT!

[Before getting the Aveeno treatment, I saw the Bio-Oil thread on Soompi and ordered a bottle. I was using the Aveeno for a week or so when the Bio-Oil came, soooo I decided to switch over to the Bio-Oil for a few days to see if it'd have a more dramatic effect than the Aveeno. It's been almost a week and the Bio-Oil hasn't kicked in yet..I'm going to wait a little bit longer and if nothing happens, back to Aveeno I go! ]

The after picture has not been tampered with = no photoshop and no foundation/powder/concealer (just eyeliner ^____^). You can tell the after shot is pure because you can see my pores >___< and freckles and yah , quite embarrassing actually :[

oh wow..now tell me huh no make this thread after i got some clean&clear ..lol just kidding but wow thats good i must get me some when i get payed tomorrow...i wonder if its ok to mix it with my clean and clear since its only a spot treatment thingey?i have alot of marks now not even pimples..

- hahah maybe you can try it out alone, because if you use the Clean & Clear on top of it, it kind of defeats the purpose to see if either really works? :] I got pretty fast results for the Aveeno, so unless the Clean & Clear is working right now, you can switch over to the Aveeno for a few days and see for yourself? - The Aveeno treatment is not for scars, it's for blemishes and acne? But, it did even out my skin tone, so the scars also dwindled~ I don't understand why Bio-Oil's not working for me :[ maybe i'm doing something wrong...

My mom told me that applying salt water onto your blemishes help the old scarring go away and it did!
I started to see results in just 3 days!!
You should apply it right before you go to bed. In my opinion, it's the most effective way and after you wash your face.

so the scars just like faded a bit? I have blemishes and I definitely want to get rid of the scars too. So is this like a lotion or face wash?

im a big fan of aveeno..since then i used the aveeno foaming and cleanser it worked but iwas so stupidly changed to a different product and now ima buy this!!!!

I'd have to concur. Aveeno does work. It cleared up my face but after I ran out I decided to try another brand (which failed miserably). Rather than switching back to Aveeno I bought Murad for 60$ and am currently using it. But, for any one with doubt - Aveeno did work for me. It's a regular topical treatment, smells good, and isn't harsh.

Whoa, the effect on your pictures look awesome. What's the time in between the days you took those pics? I always trusted Aveeno products, I have their Daily Moisturizing lotion, and I love it, it moisturizes well but doesn't make my face shiny or greasy.

oh yeah? i only get the occasional pimple now due to bc pill, but if that spot treatment works well, i might get it too. i hope it's available here in canada (neutrogena's acne mark fading peel didn't get here until AFTER i ordered it on ebay. -.-) i used to use the clearasil tube, but blah it didn't do much. i finished the tube a while ago anyway and i don't really feel like buying another one. thanks for the review! your skin looks great now. xD

ohh~ nicee!!.. i really love aveeno stuff.. they smell really nice and have nice texture.. i have extra dry skin. so using aveeno as a moisturizer was really good!

- Oh yeah my mom told me the same thing! That's why people who live near the beach or swims in it a lot have really nice, clear and firm skin. The salt in the seawater makes your skin tight and healthy!



- Yeah the scars faded a bit, because well acne scars has a lot of rosy pigments to it, so when the blemishes fade, your face looks a lot smoother and in turn it minimizes the appearance of scars! It's a sort of lotion medication, not face wash, you apply to your face after you wash it~



- I'm so glad you're interested! It's a type of lotion medication, not a face wash. You apply a thin layer 2-3 times a day, after you wash your face that is.



- WOO! I just found out how great Aveeno is, my mom uses the lotion it moisturizes skin really well w/o making it feel oily! Although this is my first Aveeno product, it works so well~ i'm in love! Go buy it! hurray! :]

- I think it is worth more than its price! it's really affordable compared to other blemish medication..that doesn't even work. i hope it works for you too!



- I use about this much cream at a time >> (the size of the happy face hehe) and apply it to each side of my cheeks, forehead, nose & temples. I try not to use too much of it and massage the cream in until it dries. My face doesn't feel heavy, and I think reduces the oil on my face throughout the day. I'm not sure about this, because I haven't really considered it as an oil reducer? I do look at the mirror from time to time though, and I noticed that my face didn't look as oily as it used to. Another thing about salycic acid (or however you spell it XD) is that it's an "acid" so it makes your face more dry. Aveeno is made of 1% salycic acid, that's how it also reduces pimples (by drying it out). Usual acne medication has like 2%, I think 1% is just enough and if your face is really oily, try to apply as little of the medication as possible or make sure to massage it into your face really well until it dries.

- Oh well I saw results within 4 days? But the first picture was taken before I used Aveeno and the next picture was taken about 10 days after I used it. My face cleared up even more after the 4 days. :]



- Whee~ thank you :] I've tried Clearasil, it doesn't work that well and yeah neither does the Neutrogena Acne Mark Fading Peel. The peel has a lot of acid in it that stings and burn your face when you apply it? It's suppose to slough off the top layer of the skin gradually so that the mark will fade, but the acid is really harsh. I like Aveeno more, because it's softer and more gentle so even people with sensitive skin can use it. Do try it!



- The price is pretty reasonable, so try it out! I'm sure it'll show SOME results, if not a lot!



- Please post back with the results after you try it out! I want to see if it works for others too and it'll be nice for other soompies to get more opinions on this product :]

- Um I don't think so, because remember i said the product only has 1% salicyc acid? That's a lot less than the regular acne medication. Plus Aveeno is known for their gentle products; this cream moisturizes your face too, so I don't think you have to worry. If you do get it, try it on like the bottom part of your chin or something, or just a small area to see how it works out~

- Well, do you have blemishes? After my acne disappears I find that it leaves behind discoloring and yeah rosey pigments, Aveeno helps settle this <3
