Synopsis
Based on the manga series of the same name, Toda Erika plays an honest college student, Kanzaki Nao, who receives a million dollars one day, along with a card saying she has been chosen to take part in the "Liar Game". The aim of the game is to trick the other players out of their one million dollars. At the end, the winner gets one million dollars and the loser is one million dollars in debt. Horrified, Nao tries to contact the game organizers to give them their money back. Her old high school teacher offers to help, but it turns out he actually is her opponent in the game, and easily tricks her out of her million dollars. Coincedentally, Nao notices a newspaper article one day regarding an ex-swindler named Akiyama Shinichi. Desperate, she contacts him for help.

Shota Matsuda has been added to play the swindler who helps out Erika Toda's character. Matsuda is the actor who plays Nishikado Soujiro in HYD2.

poor shota and his hair, I'll keep my views open though, it may just photograph strangely? I can't wait for this. Toda Erica annoys me in all the roles she plays, but then personally I'd find anyone who plays umi in hana yori dango annoying and her character in nobuta wo produce (maybe I'm just jealous cause she's so pretty ;;) but I hope I'll like her in this, cause I like her as an actress. And Shota, it's really weird how they'd pick 2 main actors from hana yori dango to be in another manga based drama so close to it finishing, I like it though. I can't wait to watch it, the plot sounds really good.

His hair from the poster reminds me of Near from DN.
The episode is only 36 mins? That's pretty short, but I actually prefer it like that.
I'm watching this for Erika. I really like her after DN, which is weird since I hated Misa.

I really enjoyed this episode. For some reason it reminds me of SAW, sine there are a lot of similarities. Did anyone else think so?

Anyway, I can't wait for more. BTW, Shouta looks so hott, even if his hair is a little messy...but hey, he did just get out of prison.

I like the story so far... especially the aloofness of Akiyama. I think he has some deep, dark secret to hide and that secret prompted him to take pity on Nao. I believed that he wouldn't have helped her if not for his guilt over that secret.

OK, Nao officially annoys me which is a good thing cos that means Erika Toda is excellent in potraying the naivety of the too-honest, clueless girl. I mean, is there such a person in this world today?! I'd like to see this such person.
