really nice, looks like acuvue pearl grey

my first time contributing =)

these are my G&G 3 tone gray.

my natural eye color are dark brown, so they appear MORE black than gray, alot of people though i was wearing black lenses :x
this is just my 2cents, but if you feel the G&G dreamy black makes your eye look kind've dead, i suggest you go with the G&G 3 tone gray if you have dark brown eyes, because a lot of people tell me my eyes look bigger or anime like or w/e, but it doesn't really have that "dead" look that dreamy black gives, so if you want that big eyed look and was thinking of getting dreamy black, i suggest G&G 3 tone gray if you have dark brown eyes like me, just my 2 cents, you dont have to take my suggestion, i know my eyes look kinda small in that picture but its just that i was smiling kinda too hard, and it caused to me to have chinkier looking eyes ! :x
i really really love my G&G 3 tone gray, that i still have like 3 other pairs of circle lenses laying around that i haven't gotten to use yet because i rather use my 3 tone gray =)
here's a picture of my other 3 lenses that i haven't opened, since i feel like contributing today.
these are my dreamy blacks, superstar gray, and tutti grays. i'll use them eventually one day, since one of them expires in like 2008, so i must use it sometime >_<

i also have the cloud gray, and i must say, i dont like it so much, i've worn it less than 5 times and now its just laying in the case =x

hmms this was a long post =x

The green looks awesome on you ! Haha I actually want a pair of green that is subtle like that, but I can't wear G&G's because of their smaller BC. I was considering Free Teen Circle Greens ? I'm waiting for my Tutti Grey and Free Teen Circle Brown to come in so I think I should hold back on the greens for now hahaha.

Oh yeah thanks for those that commented on the pictures of me wearing the G&G's. I actually really like the Two Tone Grey that G&G makes but the BC doesn't fit my eye so it's rather uncomfortable. The color rocks though ! (:

does the time the lens last count wen u open them or do they already have an expiry date because i was planning to get 4 pairs.. =="

depends on what you´re looking for.

tutti greys have a much more noticable darker and ring. so they show up really strong, but they are very dark.

G&G greys are much lighter, but the outer ring is not so noticable. they look much more subtle and natural, while tuttis are much more bold.

if you want a light color go for G&G, if you want a bold change Tutti ^^

Doctors Advise Caution When Wearing “Circle Lenses”

JULY 25, 2004 22:21
by Jin-Han Lee (likeday@donga.com)

Circle lenses have become the talk of the town recently, because many female entertainers are appearing on TV shows wearing them. Circle lenses are a type of color contact lenses on which black lines are drawn around the pupil area so the wearer’s eyes can appear larger and clearer.

As circle lenses are gaining popularity, even among junior- and high-school students who want their eyes to look bigger, the number of patients who visit ophthalmologic clinics due to eye infections is also increasing.

Dr. Lee Dong-ho, director of Bit-Sarang ophthalmologic clinic in Sangye-dong, Nowon-gu, Seoul, observes, “Three patients a day on average visit my clinic for ailments caused by wearing contact lenses, and 70 percent of them are circle lens wearers.”

Dr. Lee Dong-sung, director of Dream Sungmo ophthalmologic clinic in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, agrees: “Since circle lenses became popular, I see about three or four more junior- or high-school students in a day who have conjunctivitis (pinkeye) or keratitis (cornea inflammation).”

The United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has already issued warnings about permanent eye damage and a loss of vision caused by wearing color lenses without an expert’s prescription. The Consumer Protection Board in Korea also gave a consumer safety warning against circle lenses in June of last year.

Why are the circle lenses so dangerous? The cornea of the eye receives oxygen carried in tears, but when someone wears circle lenses, the lenses stick to the corneas and block tear circulation, eventually interfering with oxygen delivery to the eyes. A cornea deprived of oxygen easily loses its function and also becomes vulnerable to viruses. Most circle lenses have pigments on their surface, so that irritation to the eye is greater and oxygen permeability is lower than with regular contact lenses.

Dr. Lee Dong-ho advises, “So many color lenses and circle lenses are flooding the market right now and many of them are not thoroughly tested and verified. When considering contact lenses, please do get a consultation from a doctor.

To minimize any problems from wearing circle lenses, wear them for only two or three hours at a time. Also, maintenance of the lens cannot be emphasized enough: rinse lenses in running water and get rid of buildup with enzyme cleaner.”

^ Yeah, My vision got so much worse after wearing them for a year sad.gif My eye doctor told me NOT to wear them anymore. Seriously, 2-3 hours may help a lot. I wore them for 7-8. But how can you only wear them for 2/3 hours? That's so hard.. esp when you're out during the day or at night, etc etc.

Well, no more circles for me.. it's too bad, cause they're so cute.

EDIT: OMG I just read this link..

Acanthamoeba Keratitis is a rare, local infection of the eye that typically occurs in healthy persons and can result in permanent visual impairment or blindness. Acanthamoeba Keratitis varies greatly from person to person.

Symptoms of Acanthamoeba Keratitis

* Eye pain
* Eye redness
* Blurred vision
* Sensitivity to light
* Sensation of something in the eye
* Excessive tearing

I TOTALLY HAD THIS!!!!! OMG I HAD EVERY SINGLE SYMPTOM. That is so scary :x
After I took my circles out, the next morning, I would have all those symptoms.
And that is why I went to the eye doctor. OMG. Ok, sorry, I'm just in shock. I didn't know it was so serious and could cause blindness. O_O
mmitsjojo
omgggosh this is so scary --
* Eye pain - sometimes
* Eye redness - sometimes
* Blurred vision - um not really unless im not wearing glasses/lenses
* Sensitivity to light - YEAH, everytime i walk out the door from school my eyes hurt like crazy
* Sensation of something in the eye - um sometimes i feel something touching my eye & it seems like i cant get it out :x
* Excessive tearing - err not really unless im crying? i dont really take this into notice.

oh man this is scaring me ! im wearing my glasses tmr :x until my mommy buys me my regular contact lenses.
or maybe once in a while, but my vision hasn't really changed , well not that i know off, and i've worn circle lenses for almost 1 year, and color contacts (freshlooks) for almost 2-3 years O_O

This is a little off-topic but color lenses are as bad as
circle lens? ph34r.gif *is about to lay off her color contacts*
boatswain
ALL CONTACTS ARE BAD FOR YOUR EYES. You're putting something foreign on your eyes that could potentially scratch your eyeball and lead to more damages. They also block out the air from your eyes (soft contacts more than hard ones) and thus can dry out your eyes and accumulate germs on them.
Regardless of whether its a color contact or a circle lens or just a normal contact, you're risking your eyes by wearing them. However, because of new technology the risk is lessened by ALOT.
However, make sure to research the brand first and also to see your optometrist (eye doctor) frequently when you first start wearing them and if you experience any complications.

Wow, how do you guys keep up with the names ^^;;
But I really like Tutti-3 Gray

Acanthamoeba Keratitis is a rare, local infection of the eye that typically occurs in healthy persons and can result in permanent visual impairment or blindness. Acanthamoeba Keratitis varies greatly from person to person.

Symptoms of Acanthamoeba Keratitis

* Eye pain
* Eye redness
* Blurred vision
* Sensitivity to light
* Sensation of something in the eye
* Excessive tearing

i really don't think it's something to freak out about sweatingbullets.gif. it's good that you went to see the eye doctor about the symptoms, but really, Acanthamoeba Keratitis is often times VERY serious. i mean, like SEVERE pain. that's like my-eyeballs-feel-like-it's-bleeding-sorta-thing. and all the other symptoms could be just regular eye irritation! it's nothing to worry about, believe me, i'm the biggest hypochondriac you can ever meet. it's good to research the things before feeling scared! you'll realize it's not so bad.

but if any of you guys really DO have severe eye pain and you happen to wear lenses while swimming or don't clean them very well, it's good to see the doctor. in most cases, Acanthamoeba Keratitis requires hospitalization and years of therapy, so crazy.gif be careful, but don't sweat over it!

i've been wearing circles for about 6 months now and i just got an eye exam. my first eye exam i had 2.75 for both eyes. i wore regular contacts for about 8 months, then i got my first circle lens. i wore that for bout 5-6 months and my new eye exam said i was 2.75 for one and 3.0 for the other. so it isn't so bad. and the eye doctor didn't seem to notice anything bad about my eyes except for this TINY stye i have vicx.gif BUT i had the stye BEFORE i ever wore circles, it just never healed completely.

i must admit, however, that the circles have increased the amount of tiny bumps i get along the linings of my eye. this can be caused by air pollution, dirty contacts, something getting in the eyes, just about anything. my doctor told me to boil an egg and wrap it in a clean towel and press it gently over the bump for about 5 minutes. that sucker comes right out! if any of u guys have it, try this! it works!

those symptoms aren't from wearing circle lenses... you only get those symptoms because of the contact lens solution that contain bacteria in it... moisture complete or renu brands

The only thing circle lens do to your eyes is make you vision worse if u wear it for too long... no oxygen in your eye so that might causse ur eyes to hurt.. but thats all... circle lens shouldn't give you those symptoms ^

For a more noticable look I would go for tutti grays, but
I think tutti browns look better.
