you can only wear your lenses for one your after you open it.
that date means thats the date your lenses OFFICALLY expire.
so for example say 10/11/2009 is your expiration date.
you open them on 07/01/2007, you can only wear your lenses until 07/01/2008
if you open your lenses at 06/01/2009, it means you can only wear it until the expiration date 10/11/2009
i hope this makes it clearer to you~ :]
well i'm assuming your lenses are 1 yr disposable though. lol ><

Opti-Free Express or Opti-Free Replenish or are they the same?
Are the Opti-free Express Rewetting eyedrops good?
Also, do you have to get the contact cases that are for soft contact cases?

hmm. Got my Dueba Greys a few days ago. Due to some issues, I haven't had time to pop them in until just a few minutes ago. They're not bad. I get chronic dry eye and have mild astigmatism. Not enough to make me need to wear toric (special astigmatism-corrective) lenses, but enough to make my lenses uncomfortable some of the time.
I took closeup pictures, but photbucket isn't letting me resize them right now, so here's the link:
http://s98.photobucket.com/albums/l263/nan...nt=DSCF2702.jpg It has a weird circle of brown that rings the inner part of the blue-grey. It looks WAY more blue in real life.... but i'm loving them. It's a "there's something different about you, but can't put my finger on it" look.

sometimes I do that and you can usually tell because it feels uncomfortable. Your eyes will probably start watering and you'll take them out and flip them the right way ^^

you can't NOT notice that they're flipped

I tried searching for the youtube link on how to put on contacts & how to take off... but I cant find it. Can anyone provide it for me? Thanks. And i'm supposed to soak my new contacts for atleast 24 hours when I first get it right? Is it okay to include the original watery substance that was in the contact package into your contact case with the new solution or do I have to take out the contacts by itself and soak it into new solution? Do you guys get what i'm trying to ask? Its kind of complicated -___- Sorry! I'm new to this whole contact stuff =/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07Pd4nK61RsTry that. That's exactly how I put in my contacts. Don't be too scared though; the first few times you try to get them in will always be a weird/interesting/scary ordeal. I was tearing and crying and FREAKING OUT (I think your eyes naturally resist having your fingers so close to them, so they instinctively close) when I was trying to get them in the first time. It took ages... so it's okay if you don't get them in your first try.
Oh, and taking them out:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_n3sxd9LZkgThere's a few other methods (some people just slide them out), I find that this "pinch" method is the fastest and the easiest. For some people with long nails though (the guy in the video doesn't have long nails and mine are super short too) that will be difficult. So if you have long nails or tips or something... You can slide it out.. uhh... i don't really know how to do it and I never bothered trying because it just sounded weird.
this way's kinda cool too:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxQRCjtqO9A Actually, I think I'm gonna try that tomorrow when I take them out. See if it works.
Use new solution. If you used the original solution, why would you have to soak it for 24hrs? You could just wear them right out of the package.

yeah, i've noticed people with single lids can't pull off circle lenses without makeup
however, people with double eyelids can still look gorgeous with circle lenses even without makeup (usually only if the lenses are brown/black though)
doLLi
Sep 28 2007, 03:44 AM
^ and this is making them feel better how? Makeup or no makeup, its still skin surrounding just your eye, making it look so bare and your circle lens even more visible and fake.
I think that very first comment whoever posted about single lidders don't look good is wrong about that. I seen some pictures of double lidders and they look more queer than the people with single lids. I think it just all depends on the face and how you look with it, just because you have double eyelids doesn't automatically mean you can pull it off because lets not forget the other half of your face right, you have the nose and the lips and so on so forth if you guys get my drift. But of course at the end, it is all about personal preference right?.. Like some of you have mentioned... *ahem
I'm not trying to offend anyone here but that first comment might have offended someone, not me but I'm just speaking behalf of the other circle lens users. =|
Ps. this thread IS widely open to the public and a lot of people reads it so it is kinda mean to all sudden generalize one's look with everyone elses.

Umm... no? It doesn't hurt at all. The contact should pop right on out as long as you do it gently. There's a learning curve to it, but generally, it's really easy.
QUOTE(Moody @ Sep 27 2007, 11:21 PM)

I would almost resent that ...
Cause I have single eyelids and so does one of my best friends, and we both like wearing circle lenses. I think it just depends on the lens. I, for one, am not ever going to wear the "crazy bright" pale colors because I KNOW that those won't look good on me (those require glue and makeup to pull off). So I go for those neutral and more natural tones: the browns and the greys. I think it's just about the whole look. My pictures are inaccurate, because in real life, the gray actually is not that noticeable... my eyes just look paler. I saw another picture of a girl in Tutti Grays and she looked SUPER pretty and she had single-eyelids too.
If I WAS to wear super bright lenses (like the Nudys or other I tried on a pair of Acuvue 2 Colors in Sapphire), yes, I do look weird and bad and freaky... but generally...
Just like with anyone... it all varies. I've seen people in Taiwan with dark blue circle lenses and double eyelids and she just looked weird. so please don't generalize. it offends a bit.

Sep 28 2007, 06:12 AM
Moody : Hmmm... i think it all depends on the person.... You cant really generalise like that...
I wear lenses... and is also single eyelidded... and i think they look quite good ... (hopefully... unless people have been LYING to me... O__O")
Of course.. i only have the darker colours... but i still think that s.e (single eyelidders) should also be able to pull off light colours =D
Im still not put off getting nudy blues =D

^i think it depends on how "wide" your eyes are, if you know what i mean.
Single lidders can look good with circle lenses too, but if their lids cover part of their eyes, it looks like their whole eye is black.
GENERALLY, circle lenses flatter double lidded eyes....
i usually use BT02 or clear lenses from Encore. Or just glasses if I'm lazy

Also, I received my GEO angel lenses a few days ago and turns out the water content on the box is 38% just like on the vials. And there's no way that the Angel lenses are not legit, because they even come with a extensive care manual and contact information printed inside the carton. So I guess that the true water content of GEO lenses is 38% despite what they claim on the website. =/
