lol i want circle lenses so badly T_T but i have too high of an astigmatism.. so im just getting green freshlooks..
i heard that circle lenses make your vision worse too o_o;; so i'm kind of iffy about them. then again any contacts would make your vision worsen XD

sorry if my eyeball scares you D:

and my friend has circle lenses but her eyes are so chinky that i didn't even realize she had them until someone told me o_o;;

You're lucky you can even wear colored contact lenses. I can't even wear colored contact lenses because not only is my astigmatism really really bad (like 170 on one side), my vision is bad also. sad.gif I really don't think contact lenses of any kind make your vision any worse unless you wear them in a way that is not recommended (like wearing them for LONG periods of time, not taking care of them/cleaning them properly, not washing your hands before putting in contacts, etc.). I've been wearing contact lenses for like 9 years and although my vision has gotten worse (which is normal for most people), it hasn't gotten terribly worse. And once you finish growing, your vision most likely will not change (mine has stayed the same for the past few years), unless it's because of old age.
inconnu!*
^ have you tried using acuvue color lenses? They have it for astigmatism
and for people with bad vision (trust me.... mine is really really bad and I
wear color contacts from acuvue)

Oh really? What's the name of it? Because I just checked the Acuvue website and I don't see colored lenses for astigmatism... just Acuvue Advance for Astigmatism & Acuvue Toric Lenses (both non-colored).... and then just regular colored lenses (Acuvue 2 Colours). I know Freshlook Colorblends has toric lenses but I need a higher prescription than they can provide :T Both my eyes are worse than -4.00

*Edit: Just found Durasoft 3 Optifit Toric Colorblends... but they're so expensive!! Like $114 for just one pair of lenses o.O
tahweesuh
^^ WHOA. $114?! haha how long does it last?! o_o;; if it was monthly that'd be crazy haha. so expensive..

my eyes aren't worse than like -2.50.. i feel as though they're getting worse and worse though. :x
im sorry that you can't get colored lenses =( hopefully they'll come out with better lenses for people with worse eyesight
babiixswt
Hm, I found a site selling circle lenses for only $20.00
It says its usually so expensive, why is it so cheap there? And no, its not a bad seller,
since there are so many good feedbacks.

Oh and, hello! I'm new to the circle lens thread *shrugs* ^^
~ BunnyliciouS ~
^ Are you sure that price is not for ONE LENSE?

Because I know a site that sells lenses around that price, the price listed is the price for 1 lense, not for a pair.
So the total will be $40, not $20

What's better - Angel Greys or Nudy Greys?

I was actually gonna try to take better pictures, but since someone asked, I might as well post the picture I do have on hand. tongue.gif

I also have Nudy Browns. (Yep. I jumped on the Nudy train ;D )

*this picture was slightly Photoshopped, just to brighten the Level/brightness of it, 'cause it was a bit dark.

Personally, I really love the Angel pattern way more than the Nudies.
I mean, I like the Nudies...just not as much as I hoped I would like them. :T
My brother told me that they looked like "Reptile Eyes". Dx ...and I agree. xD;

For tobyness, my contacts prescription is -5.50, for both eyes. xD;; Pretty bad.

Wait, I wear clear contacts and my grade in each eye is 100 (bad vision, I know sleep.gif'), so if I get circle lens can they also put my grade in it? I don't want to wear circle lens without a grade, I wouldn't see anything. o_o

I've finally decided to buy circle lenses, but I need help with colours and a brands. huh.gif I'm thinking of a dark colour, maybe dark brown(natural looking), then purple and maybe green. nanshi
For someone's question about the base curve, there's a standard range of sizes: 8.4-8.6, I think. You won't really know what fits your eye the best until you actually get fitted. Only optometrists are really trained to be able to "see" how well a contact fits on your eye.

I wear:
Right eye: -5.50
Left eye: -3.50
*glasses and contacts prescripto the same... (which is a bit strange). I've gotten -5.00 circle lenses and I think they let my eyes focus a *little* better, so I might need to go to the optometrist and get my prescription tweaked just slightly. I think my brand of regular contacts is just too strong for me at -5.50

Edit: I saw your other post and it seems to me that you're confusing the axis with cylinder value. The 170 number is axis is the location of your astigmatism (irregularity) in the eye. Your cylinder value is how bad your astigmatism is. I have -1.25 cylinder with 170 and 10 axis. I heard that -1.25 is considered mild to moderate, it's not BAD.

I know what you mean, I've been looking everywhere for colored toric lenses in my prescription. I have -6 in both eyes with 1.25 deg cylinder value. I emailed two places who were selling circle lenses online and they told me that they think it would be quite alright to wear regular circle lenses cause they've seen people do so. I'm not sure whether I should trust them... dry.gif I tried calling my optometrist to see if she could somehow maybe compensate the astigmatism for a higher power and she told me that I would have to come in and get another $120 exam although I just got one a few months back. I might try to get the Cala Hazel ones though, been eyeing that one for a while now.

Are there other circle lenses that are like a honey color? Most of the examples that were posted up of brown colored lenses were a bit darker than what I would've liked. Has anyone tried G&G BT03 brown (not BT02 brown)? It seems like that one would show up better and lighter but I'm not sure...

Edit: After looking through all the pages (whew) I decided to buy the Nudy browns. I'll post pictures up when I recieve them, I'm so excited!

Compared to Tuttis, I think Angel's look a bit darker, from the pictures I've seen. Especially in the pictures taken farther away. The patterns look pretty much exact, though. laugh.gif

Is "grade" the same as "prescription"? Because if it is, then yeah, you can get circle lenses with prescription smile.gif I know I'd be completely blind without mine haha. But, some circle lenses don't come in prescription, so always make sure if the lenses you want come with prescription smile.gif

oh... you have to look around tongue.gif the thing i noticed about dali brown is that the diameter is listed as 14.2mm instead of the normal 14.0mm. idk if that refers to the circumference of the color or the lens... i'm afraid of looking like that freaky girl in the last page, where you can't even see any white in her eyes? hm

I have a few questions for all of you who wear circle lens. 1. When you wear circle lens, how long do you keep them in for? and 2. If they hurt your eyesight, how long were you wearing circle lens for before your eyes started to get bad?
chifuni
junkmanjunko- Wow, so big...would you mind taking a full face picture?
Or too personal? ~ xD

foreverxfu- 1. I keep my circle lenses in for 8 hours MAX.
2. They haven't really "hurt" my eyesight. But my eyesight worstened already .__.
I wore them for about 5 months already ; _ ;

IM SORRY TO BE REALLY OBNOXIOUS BUT THIS IS AN EMERGENCY I LEAVE ASIA TOMORROW
AND NEED TO BUY LENS ASAP BEFORE I GO BACK HOME TO THE STATES!

URGENT LAST MINUTE QUESTION SPLS HELP!!

K HERE IT GOES:

1.)
Does anyone have experience with Johnson & Johsnon Acuvue "Define" Black circle lens? (they are daily disposables)

Isnt johnson & johsnon acuvue much more well known and reliable than these other brands? (Bescon, tutti, etc. or whatever)
why do people choose the other ones versus johnson & johnson???? must be a reason??

2.)

Are all circle lens ONE SIZE Only?

i dont need prescription im only wearing them for fun, but doesnt everyone have different shaped/size eyes?
is one size fits all safe ??

3.)

is it okay to use regular eyedrops in ur eyes while ur using contact lens or do u need special eyedrop??

K THANKS GUYS!!

I think my brand of regular contacts is just too strong for me at -5.50

i know they have different prescription strength but dont these circle lens contacts all come in one size only in regards to the base curve???

i went to a storein taiwan and they said the acuvue ones come in one size only
