Here's the girl I mentioned in the previous post. I guess her eye color is greener. Got the pics from her modeling site.

I'd kill for her eyes.

Pretty green eyes I can see her original color at the ends. ^^

Although at the center they are slightly edited through PS
using a a screen layer then blending it down to 15% overlaying it over the pic
using a size 1 brush. thats why they have that glow. and it also looks real
because its overlayed so you can see see the reflection of the photographer
and his camera in her eyes.

But seriously americans have gorgeous eyes x_x
I saw this girl in my class with yellow brown eyes.

Wow, her eyes are very alluring. Yet, a bit creepy after awhile but still pretty!

@PandaKiss: Oh my gosh, you're being ripped off. When I got my contacts they even made me sit at the Optical and teach me the right way to put it on without fees. They asked me to wear it on and take it off and wear back on again until I'm absolutely sure what I'm doing. (even comes with free contact cleaners/case/and color samplers) There should not be a fee to teach how to put them on OxO.

Hmm, I have a question.

How long usually is recommended to wear Tutti lenses?
Sometimes I tend to forget I'm wearing them.. so I'm just curious.
Wearing it longer = affecting your eyes?

I got my Dm23grays last week =)

I just got mine a week ago as well and I love them! They were very inexpensive too. I don't have small eyes anyway, so they look pretty natural; people who don't already know me don't notice anything. I like the way they instantly make me look bright eyed and bushy tailed!

I would say that I am really loving the fourth one biggrin.gif

I'm sorry, I just love anything that adds grey colouring to the eyes. My opinion's slightly biased...

However, if you are going for something a little subtle, I would suggest the 3rd one (assuming that you have brown eyes)

Okay, I'm new to this thread, and would like to ask a few questions.

1. How much do colored lenses affect your eyesight? I mean, my eyesight isn't 20-20. I wear glasses because I'm nearsighted.

2. Are there contacts with grades or sth?

Thanks. smile.gif

o1; i don't think that's a question anyone can answer with 100% certainty. but having said that it's basically harmless if you take care of your eyes (ie. don't wear lenses for lllooonnnggg periods of time, don't wear them after they expire etc).

o2; i don't get what you mean by grades. do you mean like, degree? or do you mean if a certain brand is better than another? if you mean the former, there are lenses with degrees & there those without too. if you mean the latter, it comes down to personal experience. some people love geo but others reckon it slips around a lot.

I don't know contacts expire. How long do they last[non-disposable colored ones]? And what happens when they expire?

yeah i think you mean degree. most (if not all) colored contacts come with degrees. you just have to visit your optometrist to get them. if you don't know what your degree is, they'll just check your eyes for you & find out what your degree is. then you just ask them if they have colored contacts in that degree then you pick & choose & yeah.

contacts have, what i call, two forms of expiry. the production expiry & the disposable expiry. the production expiry is usually a few years, so within those few years you'll have to open the lenses & use them. if you still have unopened lenses after that expiry date has passed, you should just chuck them away. you can find the production expiry date on the box/bottle that the lenses came in.

the disposable expiry is when you've used your dailies, monthlys or yearly lenses up to it's limit. so for example, if you have monthly colored contacts, you open a set on the 1st of december, then you use it every day for a month. then on the 1st of january, you chuck them away & open up another set of lenses.

kay i hope that made sense cos i use terms that i created for myself to understand x_x

What will black circle lenses look like on someone with light blue eyes? I only ask because it's for a cosplay. XD;

^ It should look fine as long as you get the lenses that don't have a large pupil area. That way your eye color gets covered up as much as possible.

My eyesight is still the same. I've been wearing them for a year now. I usually wear them 2-4 times a week.

my eye doctor says I can't wear colored contacts because my pupils are too big. will that be the same problem for circle lenses? regular colored contact have a small clear circle where the pupil is supposed to show though and fit, is the clear circle bigger in circle lenses or they're pretty much the same size?

eyeheartyou I wear them probably 3-5 times a week for the school day. which is like 8 hours? and i've been wearing them since.. May-June and then Sept to now. lol didn't go anywehre in summer so didn't put them on.

excuse the blurriness of my camera phone please. these jewelry gray lenses came in for me last week (they were only 17 bucks!!!). I think they look pretty natural. I even asked my friend if she could tell the difference (I only had one circle lens in), and she said that she couldn't -.-;; I recommend them if you want a natural look, but they aren't very good for those who want to have significantly different colored eyes smile.gif

Hey guys i have a question. I have several pairs of circle lens (around 12) and i've been wearing them for a year. Lately my eyes have been turning red whenever i wear them, Like bloodshot red and a red rim has appeared around my pupil. Is this because of the circle lens? I used to wear them every single day.
melkimx
^ er i think you need to stop wearing any contact lenses and go to your doctor. it sounds like you have an infection.

i would think the pupil size of regular colored contacts should vary... i know it varies for circle lenses. the first pair i bought, the clear circle was so small, they didn't feel comfortable because often the colored part would slide over my pupil. the next pair i bought had a bigger clear circle and they're so much more comfortable to wear.

you can see the space for the pupil is much wider in the second lens.

i dont know about that... expired lenses still feel the same as lenses one has been wearing for weeks. (unless you're one of those people with sensitive eyes).

like melkimx said, it could be an infection.
also, it could mean that there's a small scratch or scuff on your contacts that makes your eyes red and irritated. because it's irritating, you may have been rubbing your eyes hoping it'll get better. the force of the rubbing makes a minor rim around where the lens fit.

i used to have that mark on my eyes. so i wore glasses for awhile until they've gone. i go to my optometrist annually and they say i have healthy eyes and my perscription has not changed for 5+years. so yeah, see an eye doctor, and lay off the contacts until you're comfortable wearing them again.
-----
one more thing, i've seen a LOT of people switching the means of the pupil vs the iris.
IRIS: colored portion of the eye
PUPIL: the black "dot" of your eye that controls the amount of light that gets into the eyes.

soo... circle lens makes the iris appear bigger. not your pupil.

sorry, it's bugged me for quite a while since i've been lurking this thread ^^;;;;;

Umm regardless of how the lenses feel, I really don't think you should still wear expired lenses.. o_O; THat sounds really dangerous.. I was always skeptical of the fact that any pair of lenses are able to last one whole year anyway.. it sounds kinda un-hygienic to me haha. But oh well xP *loves my lens*

I'd rather spend $30 on a new pair of lenses than risk an eye infection from wearing expired lenses ^^;

Oh yeah about the redness, I had a red dot on my eye when I wore regular clear contact lenses
I thought they were my lenses, but after going through 3 new pairs of lenses, I concluded that it couldn't be o_O
Then I thought it was my makeup, so I stopped wearing eyeliner and mascara, but it wasn't that either ohmy.gif
I stopped wearing my contacts for a while and switched to my glasses, then the redness went away ~
It turns out that it was my contact lens solution ( I used the Bausch & Lomb solution, with the yellow swirly thing as part of the logo ) Right now it's being sued for causing numberous eye infections xP

So ionno.. if your lenses haven't expired yet, I suggest you check your lens solution ^^;
