yeahhh . i've been wanting to get a pair of circle lenses for a while.
but this question has always bugged me.
the rules say not to ask in this thread OR PMs on where to get them.
why?
why not? o___o"
like, is there something wrong with the circle lenses?
or is there no particular reason?
first of all, someone got sued for selling unauthorized lenses on here.
And if it wasn't for him, soompi would've gotten sued.
second of all, if you could've gotten a disease or injury from lenses,
soompi could've been sued aswell.
Information could be false, I don't remember well. But it had to do with
Soompi getting sued because of someone selling circle lenses .__.

how much do you guys pay for your circle lenses?? i've seen some circle lenses that range from $16-$26... those are reasonable prices right?
~ BunnyliciouS ~
Dec 25 2007, 08:15 PM
^ .... yeah, but make sure that those prices are for a PAIR.
i've seen a site that sells for that much just for ONE lens,
e.g: 1 lens = $16, so you have to buy two lenses = $32 total in the end instead.
eyeheartyou
Dec 25 2007, 09:18 PM
^ oh i think me and you are looking at the same site cause when you mentioned 1 lens i went back to the site and lo and behold the price was for 1 lens. thanks for pointing that out, otherwise if i had ordered i would've been confused when i only got one lens.`

Go for the Hypa C7s; all black circle lenses can give the big-dolly-eyed effect, but Hypa C7s are the most natural in doing so. Don't get the BT01s, since they can make you look dead. o_o And yeah, they're are supposed to be veryy good for everyday wear (or like.. almost everyday wear.. just because it might not be healthy to wear circle lenses that often). I received mine yesterday; I'll post some pictures later.
$35 is the average price, and a good price too. (At least, when you buy them online it is. Idk about buying them in stores.) ^^i asked my friend to buy them from me in Korea... and it in USD, it was just approx. $13... how cheap is that? lol... oh, and those were authentic lenses.! ^^

hi all i'm a bit new to this thread.
i've been wanting circle lens FOREVER lol. especially the tutti grey ones.
Problem is, I already have prescribed contact lenses.
This question has probably been asked millions of times before, but can i just talk to my eye doctor about getting prescribed circle lens? Will he know what the heck i'm talking about? btw i live in the states...not in korea or anywhere where circle lens are pretty popular....
thanks so much

this isnt really asking how to get circle lens...right? so hopefully i'm not breaking any rules....if i am just you guys can just ignore my post.

Welcome? Lol.
Yeah, you can try asking your optometrist about getting prescribed circle lenses. The other option available is to get a written prescription from your doctor and buy prescribed circle lenses yourself, which is what I do (:

Dec 26 2007, 09:27 AM
The Rx is right on your contact lens box. If you have forgotten what it is you should call up the doctor’s office because most likely they'll have it on file. On the other hand they also might urge you to schedule an appointment date to update your old prescription; which is always necessary to do.
In the US you must obtain a valid prescription from the doctor to order contact lens anyway,
even if you order plano.
Most likely the doctor will be familiar with circle lens and I’m assuming a license professional in the US would disapprove of it for a couple reasons.
A few other members have already taken the initiative to ask their doctor about circle lens and apparently that’s what had happened.
(For instance, even though some popular name brand lenses are FDA and CE approved, remember not ALL are)
Read the first post on page 1 for FAQ. I mean if you're really curious and serious about circle lens you have every right to ask your optometrist nonetheless. I just want to give you a heads up.
Hope that helps.

Thanks so much everyone!!
Are they pricey?? I read some posts, and apparently one contact lens (not a pair, but just one) is around $12?? So i'm guessing circle lens last for about a year or so....right? Not those wear for 2 weeks and then dispose kind of contacts that u get in the states....

when you order(online) the seller will usually state how long they last and usually its a year
some may be 6 months, just read carefully before purchasing
the cheapest i've seen is $31 :]

i know that you're supposed to soak them for the first day in ur solution but i use clearcare which disinfects the lenses for like 6 hours. its not like solution because you can't put the liquid in your eye because you have to wait for it to neutralize. i was wondering if i could but it in there instead?

i was thinking of buying barbie black because the diameter is 14.5 which is the same as my current contacts. the other ones have a 14 diameter.
i was wondering if they were comfortable. the water content is 42% but then again the other ones are 38%
do they look fake? because the girl wearing it looks kinda.. scary.. maybe her eyes are smaller...

heyy. for the people who got their lenses for like under $20 in korea.
do you guys wear it only for 6 hours? or more?
does your eyes ever like get sore or anything when you wear it for a while?
because, in korea, when i asked for the cheapest circle lenses they had ,
the eye doctor said he doesn't recommend those at all..
but they have them in stock since there's people who want to wear it but doesn't want to spend huge money on it -___-"
and there's a higher risk of getting the eye diseases.. [i know that there's already a risk when wearing any type of lenses, but the chance of it happening is higher. sorry if it's hard to understand ^^;;]
so as the price increases, the quality is better.
the eye doctor showed me the really cheap ones, the $40 range ones, and the ones over $90.
they actually all look and feel different. it's really noticeable how good the quality is when you compare them side to side.
i don't know. the doctor could have been messing around so that he could make some money since i ended up buying the expensive ones. but yeahh. i just wanted to say that for caution. have the person that's buying it for you find out more and such :)
sorry for babbling ^^;;

I know there are lots of Nudy reviews out there but I still feel like contributing

I bought the Nudy brown lenses about several months ago and have been wearing them about once a week or two (I'm a lazy person so I prefer wearing glasses haha)
They are comfortable as much as my regular softlenses and they make my eyes look bigger and more awake <3 LOVE!
However since I have -1.25 astigmatism I couldn't see things as sharp as I would have liked. I could see basic shapes, major outlines and bold details but I couldn't make out the minor fine details. The only thing I couldn't do while wearing them was drive at night... that's obvious! But any other activity I could do. I'm telling this in case people who have astigmatism wanted to know. Next time I'm going to order a higher power to compensate for the blurriness that the astigmatism accounts for.
I was going for a bright honey or hazel look but the Nudy browns did not give me the look I wanted, it came out darker than what I had expected...
By the way I have pretty DARK eyes. My friends say I have black eyes. Just giving you a bit of insight on how they look on dark eyes such as mine. And I have no ssangkkuhpul

Kind of shy and modest... don't like showing large images of myself but I thought that it was needed to show my eyes and I didn't want to photoshop/crop the image (again too lazy!) Sorry for the large image...

i'm waiting for my seller to get back to me about the bt2's... it's been like two weeks already! but i'm wondering if i should start phasing out the circle lenses... i just came back from visiting my parents, and my mom HATES the circle lenses... she knows what they are because they're so popular in korea, but she doesn't think i need the widening effect, and she thinks they actually make me look less "smart," like my eyes look kinda dead or something. and it's weird but i actually know what she's saying, even though i can't really explain it. has anyone else gotten equally negative feedback about their lenses?
