oh you said you were looking for just solid black circle lens, i would say get the G&G Black ones. one of my friend has a pair and they make her eyes look hecka black ^^;;

i have the ds21 grays =] haha i really like them~ but a lot of people are telling me that my eyes are blue! HAHA

Hi Everyone:

I was wondering if I can get some advice here. . I've been wanting to wear circle lens forever now, but seeing that it destroys people eyes and reading this thread I'm not so sure .... And I have like -3.25 eyesight and getting worse. lol.

But I was wondering if the circle lens with the thing black ring around your eye would be ok, since it doesn't like cover up your entire iris, like those other ones ^^

Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks so much!!

there's not much a difference in any of them. They have the same effect.

Whether you wear normal lenses or circle lenses, your eyesight WILL deteriorate.
It's something you can't avoid as a teenager(:
All circle lenses have a black ring.. but you're asking about getting something with ONLY a ring right?
Well I guess that would let your eye be more 'breathable', but I'm not 100% sure on this^^; so don't quote me lol


Like everyone else mentioned, (and I did many times too) circle lenses 'destroy' your eyesight.
But then again, so do normal lenses. It's just a matter of how well you look after them.
6 hours is the recommended maximum time for wearing circle lenses.
Wearing them less would be more healthy for your eyes, obviously=)
It depends on the person, but you might be able to wear them for 6+ hours and not feel any irritation.
But try to keep to the 6 hour rule ^^ Best for you(: lol

wow.. i didn't know normal lenses destroy your eyesight too.. i see people wearing the normal clear ones everyday... does that mean their eyesight will eventually deteiorate?

is it because it wears down you cornea or somthing?

glasses make your eyesight worse too.. as i have heard from a few people. lol. weird.

they are not harmful,
because they fit your eyes better than circle lenses do,
they don't move around as much and they contain more water so your eyes don't get irritated and dry fast

my S/O has astigmatism since he was little.
he started wearing contacts about 5-6 years ago,
sometimes he wears his glasses at home though, because contacts are expensive,
you've to buy them when they're out and they aren't covered by insurance
Last year, his vision actually got better.
he switched to thinner glasses.

My eyesight hasn't changed, and I have 20/20 with plano lenses (that is 0, 0 power). After I take out the lenses, my vision can be blurry for a couple hours though. Once, after I wore them for an actual full day (usually I just put them on for short periods) they were not completely normal for a couple of days, but then returned to normal. Because of this, I am guessing that the eyesight getting bad is in correllation to the length and number of times you wear it.

For one, it will probably seem worse for someone who doesn't wear lenses all the time because eyes need to get used to the decreased oxygen. Your eyes can adapt, so people who wear contacts all the time probably are more okay wearing circle lenses than people who don't wear lenses at all. If you never wore lenses, then decided to wear circle lenses 24/7, your eyes will probably deteriorate. I'm not a doctor so don't quote me on that, it's just a hypothesis.

Your eyes adjust to the lens power. Just like when you wear glasses that aren't your prescription, your eyes will adapt to the lens to try to see clearly. Even plano lenses may be slightly different than your vision even if you are 20/20. When you take off the lens, your vision may be a little blurry because it is still working with the adjusted focus. Like I said before, mine changed back after I took them out, but who knows. It may permanently change it with enough wears.

^there is, i saw someone with contacts that had crazy chick on the loose written around it and it was a hot pink colour- kinda scary..its like red eyes..only there pink (im bad at explaining)

Probably not, the colour's cute but you'll probably look like you have albino eyes.

Yep, I wear normal contacts and color contacts. And my eyes have deteriorated.

Even at one point I've had cornea infection on my right eye only from wearing normal contacts... Just be sure to be really clean xD. I think it was because I stopped washing my hands with soap whenever I put my contacts in o_o;

i'm debating on either getting am 77 or GnG amie black one..

if your glasses have perscriptions,
get circle lenses that are plano meaning 0.00 (no perscription)

or get circle lenses with perscription & get glasses WITHOUT perscription.

i look like a frigging doll with them on...(i guess thats what people want? but looks kinda unnatural on me) maybe cuz my eyes are already naturally big
the color change is quite noticeable though ...maybe i'll post up a pic sometime
worst thing about these lenses = my eyes start getting tired within 15minutes of putting them on =__=" .... wish they're as comfy as my normal contacts

Eyesight doesn't deteriorate from wearing normal contacts. Although there is a slight risk from the lack of oxygen to the eyes, if you wear contact lenses the recommended amount (i.e. change them every two weeks, 1 month, etc) your eyes should be fine. Eyesight weakens naturally - it just depends on your genetic predisposition. But as long as you use contact solution to clean your contacts frequently and keep your fingers clean/sanatized when toughing your eyes, you should be fine.

Circle lenses, however, im not sure of. All i can say is follow the rules and do not wear them over 6 hours (and take them out immediately if you feel something isnt right)

Hey, guys. I'm not sure if this question has been asked already, but how can you tell if your lenses are insideout?

If you have a perfect half circle without any edges sticking out then the contacts are fine.
If it is a half circle shape with the edges sticking out, then the contact lens is flipped inside out.

i dun think im the only one facing this but to me both sides look the same... >_<

well, i don't know about circle lens, but i do have normal contacts.
You would definitely feel the difference when you put them in if it's inside out.
If it's inside out, then it won't stay in one place in your eye and it'll feel really uncomfortable.
Trust me, you'll know the difference.

i noticed that if u look at the color of the lens, one side you'll see the color printed nicely, that should be the outside, and the the other side, it looks kinda whitish or lighter? that part should touch your eyeball. Because the point of the color lenses is to see the color right?
I dont know if that works for all the lenses but I have kinda blueish grey g&g lenses and you can tell which side the color is printed on the lens

haha i used think the same thing, but at times they do roll to the top of your head
i woke up from one day from class and this kid screamed his head off when he saw my face XD

^ LOL!

It's not physically possible for a contact lens to go to the back of your eyeball.
It will just be out of sight, but very close to where the opening of your eye is. xP
You just need to keep nudging your eye to make it come out.. I've done that heaps of times haha.

Depends of you have light/medium/dark brown eyes. For a natural look on light or medium colored eyes, go with two or three toned. Try Tutti Premium (Three colored). Barbie Blue are also nice on lighter eyes because you can actually see the dark blue/black combo (it gets really lost with dark brown eyes. I think Dueba makes them?



I'm leaning to FreeTeen Purple/Violet... I had Tutti Violet and they didn't show up purple at all.



I think he wears Freshlook Turquoise (or something extremely smilar to it)



Black ring or not, circle lenses are thicker than regular lenses because of the printing layers. it might be easier to see through, but that doesn't garuntee the effects are going to be any different.




My eyesight is the same as it's been. I started wearing Freshlook colored contacts and then circle lenses and the effects were the same for me for both kinds of lenses.
