I have a slight prescription but nothing will happen if I just wear 0.00 contacts, right?

might as well get a prescription for your comfort since prescription is free..
chickery
boatswain still, I wouldn't recommend it. It's better to get prescripted lenses if you have prescription.

Anyways, I just got my G&Gs in - here's a pic of my G&G IFax Skyblues! The color is really bold like Tutti Blue, but a lighter shade. This is regular lighting, no photo editing.

Haha my eyebrows are whack though.

Anyways, I had my school fashion show last week and I ordered ColorVue Dolly Black (like G&G Dreamy black) for my models to wear on the runway. Here is a pic of one of my models (picture with model consent and permission to reproduce).

They are 45% water, which is 7% higher than Bescon lenses. I asked my models and they said the ColorVue lenses were really comfortable and they couldn't tell the difference between the regular lenses and these. They are also made in Korea, too!

I got them for a wholesale price because I was ordering them for school use (I didn't wear them myself, only my models did), but they sell for about $20 a box for quarterly (three month) lenses. Theres two per box, so if you have the same prescription, you can buy one box, but if you have different prescription for both eyes, you have to by two boxes... but then you get to wear them for half a year.

I'm going to try the Dolly lenses and the Fusion lenses out for myself this summer, so I'll let you guys know how they feel when I do :]

Just wondering....I'm not asian, and my green eyes are big. Will it look weird if I use circle-lenses?
~ BunnyliciouS ~
^ Circle lenses are designed to make your pupil bigger than the normal size, the black O ring on the lenses does the trick.
So, you already have big eyes, why you want them bigger ? o__O
why not get regular lenses, that don't have O ring, such as the Freshlooks colorblends

Just wondering....I'm not asian, and my green eyes are big. Will it look weird if I use circle-lenses?

I think it would be cool if you used one of the simple ones... like the tear or crystal lenses. The black circle still defines the outside of your iris, making it look pretty. You should try it, but I'd recommend that over any of the colored lenses because the colored ones have a large pupil hole (non-colored circle in the middle). Asians usually have dark eyes naturally, so the pupil hole just looks black, but for lighter eyes it makes the lens look really fake because you can see your natural eye color in the center.

for light eyes:

If you want bigger, defined eyes go with the circles without the whole colored iris.

If you want to change the color, go with freshlook colorblends.

I don't feel like going through 42 pages so I'm going to ask this question even though it may have already been answered hehe. Are the circle lenses more of a girl thing or do guys wear them too? Like maybe guys that are ulzzang? I'm just curious about that because for the first couple of pages all I've seen are pictures of girls wearing them.

ANGiEE, I know you don't like them much, but the pics of your G&G Dreamy Blacks look just like an ullzzang. And compared to the tear greys or tutti browns, they definitely make you look more intense.

For brown, I think you might like Dueba DM-20-something. They have kind of a sparkley effect?

Jisoox3, the pics of only one contact in made me O_O
They both look great on you, though!

Seeing your guy's black lenses really makes me want to try them out ... sigh ^^;;

Guys wear circle lenses too... if you ask around in the UM thread, theres a lot of guys that wear circle lenses. Jaejoong (from DBSK) is also rumored to wear them occasionally. I also have a male friend who wears Tutti Blues and Tutti Greens.

**note to the regulars of the thread~ I know I've posted this pic before, so forgive me for posting it once more since there aren't too many pics of guys in circle lenses floating around here ^^;;

my tutti greys
(it's from a photoshoot so maybe that's why they look so sharp, i've never had them turn out like that in pictures before except during shoots)
i don't know how you guys wear them for a long period of time haha..
my max is about 5 hours on a good day, then i need eyedrops.
i find tuttis not so comfortable =[
does this mean i could possibly have astigmatism? my optometrist never mentioned it but if that means your eyes get dry/can't breathe when you wear contacts, then that must be what it means sleep.gif

Haha I'm a guy and I just got a pair of Free Teen Tear Greys and G&G Two Tone Greys a day or two ago. I didn't get it because I have small eyes or anything but normal contacts don't have anything like the Free Teen Tears, and I find that normal colour contacts are I don't know... really fake looking on me.

So far I found that G&G lenses are rather uncomfortable and the Bescon ones are much more comfortable. I'm planning to get a pair of Tutti Greys and Free Teen Browns soon. Hahaha
Romancer.
Jisoox3: WOW. There is SO much difference! A lot of people said that it only makes it slightly bigger but in your pictures it makes a lot of difference. Too bad my eyes aren't big enough to try these lens. There is no white space to cover apart from the sides...

Are you sure they expire so soon? Bescon Tuttis are annual lenses which means that from the day you open the bottles, they last for 1 year. Unless she put them in some wrong formula or accidentally dried them out or something, they shouldn't just spontaneously change... is there something that happened to them?
Smiley0.o
At first I didn't know the differences between contact and circle lens but now I get it.
I thought it was interesting until I look at the price and plus it's damaging the eyes, and I've already have bad vision. I guess I'll pass...
If they sell me $1 for just a pair of circle lens, then I'll buy it but this is the whole box, and I'm not planning to wear it everyday. lol

hmm it's been mentioned before
I think it can vary, but most are 20USD ~ 50USD a pair
it depends on the seller & brand (:
there's no difference in the prescription between normal contact lenses and circle lenses
because they are both lenses for your eyes..
and I ordered mine with the same prescription as my normal ones & I can see fine (:
my eyes aren't that great either.. but they were so irresistible =\

Skye410, All contacts are potentially damaging. Some people who wore circle lenses damaged their eyesight even more, but some people didn't. I've been wearing them a bit over a year, and I still have perfect vision.

xxbearbear are you sure she's been taking care of them properly? sometimes if they dry out, their color and shape will warp and they shouldn't be worn anymore. Did she get checked out at an optometrist before buying the lenses? If they aren't fitting like they used to, she should get an eye exam to see if anything has happened to her eyes.

You can ask how much they cost, but not specifically where/who they were bought from :]

I bought all mine for ~25-35 USD (per pair, not single lens) and from the places I've gotten it, they do not charge any extra cost if the lenses are prescripted. It should cost the same, no matter if you wear 0.00 or -10.00

Mine were Tutti Circle (6month), G&G and New Bios... I'd say a normal price for them would be in the $30s range, but I've seen most Tutti lenses go for $40-50... Free Teens even more expensive T_T

Free Teens even more expensive T_T

thanks ^.^ im thinking about getting the tear grey ones in a couple of weeks~does anyone have more clear pictures of the tear kinds?

For *MJ:
Here are some Tutti Green pics; ANGiEE has a nicely modeled Tutti Blue pic on the first page, and I have pics of G&G IFax Skyblues if you check back a page. There haven't been any posters of the Two toned lenses you requested, or of G&G BT Blues (at least, not in this thread).

Tutti Green (my friend)

Tutti Green (Joob)

For pikapika:

Anyways, I just got my G&Gs in - here's a pic of my G&G IFax Skyblues! The color is really bold like Tutti Blue, but a lighter shade. This is regular lighting, no photo editing.

The color of my IFax Skyblues are like the pic of BeiBei during daytime.
These are some pix with them under dark lighting. They're still pretty bold under dark lighting too O_O

The photo might not be dark, but the lighting in real life was lighter/darker and it showed on the contacts.
I have "chocolate cherry" hair right now, and it seems to look ok. Durring summertime, I like to have lighter colored hair, and I think the blue will be more obvious when I dye it. When I had light hair, my Freshlook Turquoise were really bright, but now that I have dark hair, they're not as noticeable. I'm figuring it's the same for the Skyblues.

a local shop where i live are selling circle lens for 20 bucks. is that safe?
