HI guys~ I'm planning on starting to run and well it's my first time actually doing some real exercise haha.
I need your guys' help. Just wondering.. when is the best time.. during the day to run?
I'll be running on treadmill... but is there actually a better time to run?
as in.. in the morning... before dinner... few hours after dinner... ? or is it just a matter of personal preference?
How long do you guys usually run for? and how many times a week is considered healthy... but not going overboard?
I heard you're not supposed to run everyday... and should give your body a chance to rest.
Hehe... Many many questions -__-;; Thanks so much!!

you should not run everyday because it will take a toll on your body and tax your joints. 3-4 times a week is fine. since you're just starting out, don't overdo it, just experiment to see your comfort level and then slowly increase the speed. i suggest you do intervals as they offer a more intensive workout.
do an interval workout for about 15-20min, rest speed is about 2.5-3mph then the running speed is about 4-5mph. don't begin running as soon as you arrive at the running interval, just go at a faster pace than the rest speed and work up to a running rate you're comfortable with with each successive running interval. so basically at each rest interval you are walking briskly at the same rate, but with each passing running interval, you are working up to a running rate. the next time you do this workout, you'll know the rate at which you can run during the running interval and adjust the speed as necessary. did that make sense? i'm really bad at explaining ;__;
the time is personal preference, sometimes i like to run in the morning, other times i like to run at night
also after a good workout, your body is depleted and needs water. don't gulp down a bottle as it'll make you feel sick, instead drink slowly. you should be drinking a small amount of water throughout your workout too
