i was wondering if anyone knows how to make those 3-D art designs? like those florals or dots? unless they are just stickers - but i've never seen stick on decals like them before
sorry BR1TT4NYy! just using one of your pictures as an example...

how do you do those 3-D or raised flowers? they don't look like decals...
They use acrylic powder. You also need the special solution to melt it to make designs. If you buy all together with the brush and different colour powders, they will cost you quite a large sum. I have those but my skills are horibble

For mines, the glue came with the fake nails... It lasted 2 weeks and that is pretty long...
here is the website

^ does the glue comes off by self or do you have to use some other product to remove the nails?
~lin~
Aug 27 2006, 01:31 PM
^ you just peal it off... it doesn't hurt like the ones you get it done at the salon... for mines, it came off by itself too.. like it was one for 2 weeks and so I went and grab something and it came off by itself....
Im about to go to the store to go and buy my some different ones... This brand is really good...
everyone thought I got it done at the nail salon until I told them that I bought it at the store and did it myself... they told me that it look good...
the nail is not cheaply made, becuss some are cheaply made and they are thin, but this brand is that too thick and thin. Its just perfectly made for fake nails glue it yourself.

Has anyone been successful in keeping fake nails on with the double sided tape? I tried it just to see if it'll work; the thumb nail came off before I got to my pinky.

are fake nails bad for your nails?
my friend says that they are and that they'll ruin her nails.. that's why she doesn't wear fake nails and she decorates her own. i wanna wear fake nails though but i'm scared it's going to ruin them >_< anyone know?

Aug 27 2006, 11:12 PM
^ I think it depends on the type of fake nails you get. If you get the "do it by youself" kit then no, I don't think so, but if you go to a salon to get acrylics done, then yes because they file you real nails down so they can apply the fake ones on. When you want to remove your acrylics, go to the salon and they'll remove them for you for cheap. Removing acrylics by yourself by picking at them and such and flip and tear your real nails that are already thin and sensitive due to the filing.

use a toothpick for the dots and wipe off any excess nailpolish if it's sticky or suspicious hehe.
wait for your first layer of nailpolish to dry completely,,
last time mine was still a bit wet so i left holes everywhere and the paint got stuck to the toothpick and made ugly dots.

You can put tape on your nail to make that straight line or you can paint it free hand and then taking a qtip with nail polish remover to draw a straight line (didn't work well for me). I bursh in an up/down motion.
