can you use base/top coat as a shiny, clear nail polish?
because i bought a base/top coat that's supposed to be under and on top of colored nail polish, but i just like using the base/top coat alone
is that bad for your nails? or should i just buy regular clear nail polish?

Shouldn't be, when I get my nails Frenched, they use the top coat on top of the white paint so the texture evens out on my nails.

^but can i wear it alone as if it was regular nailpolish?

Like I said, when it's French, only a small part of it has paint on it, so the top coat goes directly on my nails, I think it's perfectly fine.

its just that usually nail polish for base coats has chemicals in it to strengthen n protect ur nail

i duno why but my base coat polish can only be used underneath another layer of nail polish. it doesn't exactly dry for me O_o i have no idea why though ..it's from revlon

what's a good brand for black nail polish? the one i have from N.Y.C is too thin and transparent. i want something where i only need to apply one coat or two.

haha yeah i used clear tips.. then glued the stars.. then put the sparkly acrylics then the clear on top XD alotta work but its pretty at the end ^^

I was pretty doubtful about buying it @ walgreens but, they had like a 2 colors for $3 so I tried it out. I basically can cover my whole with just going over it once and it's like really glossy looking. I hella love it Comes in cool colors too if you're looking outside of black.

I want to improve the health of my nails... one of my fingernails is REALLY brittle. (and just one of them, the 4rth finger)..there's dents and bumps everywhere and it's really nasty..

i think it was cuz i was stressed from breaking up =[

but since we're not in love and relationships...XD...

anyone know how i would go and fix this???

Also my skin and hair are heathier too.

i currently only have ONE red nail polish & base/top coat
the nail polish was $1 (wet 'n' wild) and works pretty good with the sally hansen base/top coat
so i only have like $4-$5 worth of nail polish

i usually like the buy the smaller bottles that are like $5 for 4 mini bottles of nail polish so i can experiment and do different things with my nails. it runs out after i use them two times tho =_=;
i bought fake nails from this korean place before for like $2 each but i haven't really used them yet.

How do you guys paint the tip a different colour... so perfectly? Do you paint that part first or the base colour?

uh, nail polish is like, unforgiveable to fabrics in my experience. i got blue nail polish on my bathroom rug and its still there.

i love black tips..probably more than white ones. i don't know why.

thank you..yes, the flowers are hand painted. it's easy, just five dots, and you drag the paint towards the middle..dot the middle with sparkly polish :]
