i was planing on getting my nails done.
but i heard that your natural nails start to turn brown and yucky or something after a few weeks
since the natural nail is being covered and all but im not sure =\ and i was wondering if it was true.

In most cases, yup. it's because your nails can't breathe and after you take all the nail polish off with remover, looks yellowy or brown (if you leave it in extra extra long) It's like skin (pimples) and makeup.

How long does it usually take till it recovers?

^ A few days after you wiped off all the nailpolish.. if it's brown instead of yellow-y, it might take a few more days. So i'd say a week. Let it breathe lol

^yeah.. like the other girls say..it damages the nails ALOT! but.. i let my nails heal for 3 months.. but i wanna start putting on fake nails.. they thin out my nails..and make a big dent in them... they also change teh texture in my nals..and it becomes frigid!!

i work with some ladies who's never had their nails taken off for as long as they've known.. she's always getting refills..

how do you paint the flowers? can teach?

and how to prevent your nails from chipping? mine tend to chip alot

^ For flowers and delicate designs, you need to buy nail pens or the nailpolish with extremely thin brushes.
I guess the easiest way to prevent chipping is to put lots of clear top coat

I use a simple toothpick to paint the petals. Wait for them to dry halfway and then do that line thing. Afterwards, use the toothpick to dot the center of the flower.

If you're talking about your nails chipping, then you need to buy a Sally Hansen nail polish that is specificly made to strengthen and harden nails.



I bought clear so that I could repaint them every week for I don't remember how many months. Two months? Three months? Your nails will harden a lot, and you will definitely feel the effect.

If you're talking about your nail polish chipping, then there's really no other way to prevent that from happening besides not doing any work with your nails.

is it just with me, or does clear nail polish ALWAYS peel off??!?!?!!!! i tried waiting a day before i put on another coat, and it STILL peeled off.

maybe you should try buffering the nails first with a nail buffer, so the polish with grab onto your nails easier.

^ I really love the OPI ones because they come in every bright color Blue, green, pink And they also have the other regular colors. Goes for about $10 CAD a bottle

they're just two different companies that make nail polish... or are you asking about the difference in the nail polishes themselves? if that's what your asking.. i wouldn't know. i personally just like the three brands (essie, vov, opi). they have nice colors and quality.

i went to an asian nail salon around my area, and they wanted to charge $95 - $125 per set of nails. i was like...HOLY CRAP...thats expensive X_O
the lady told me that the designs like burberry stripes and plaids were all computerized and printed on plastic nails and THEN they glue it on. basically the nails were pre-made and all she does is stick them on your nails....all for only $125.00
