I dont know if this is the right place to ask,
but is there any treatment for dry cuticles other than just lotion?
I have a bad habit of biting them.
Burt's Bees makes a lemon butter cuticle creme. I think any kind of cuticle cream might help.

Hey I have a really dumb question.
How long does it take for your nails to completely dry and compress? I'm so sick of mine because I wait for hours for them to dry, but when I go to sleep I unconsciously rub them around and they're all squashed when I wake up.

I like em.
Just wondering, do the nails you put on yourselves damage your nailbed as much as the acrylics at the salon? When I had my nails taken off, I looked at my real nails and DAAAAAAAAAAAMN, they were effed up to the max. My poor nails.

i've never tried the ones from the salon..
but after i take mine off... my nails have scratches...
i just even them out with the rough side of the buffer...and buff them smooth and shiny after...
^^
but they don't get paper thin like how my cousin's got after she got them done at a salon

acrylics harm ur nails like BADD! so if u can, avoid acrylics. try gel or silky. those are better alternatives. OR. even those fake nails that u just use glue to stick them on.

nails take a full whole day to completely dry i suggest you do them in the mornings or early afternoon there are product like the instant nail spray or the oil that could make the drying faster but to completely dry it will take hours

I haven't done my nails in months. (getting acrylics, that is.)
But I haven't painted them in awhile too. And yesterday was valentines day, so I thought i'd paint them pink. ^^

People always ask me if my nails are fake (when their painted), which I have no idea why, and when I tell them they're real they don't believe me. Lol?

for all those pplz that wanna learn how to fade...
i found a clip on youtube showing you how to fade two colors together
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jWvziGyAI8basically.. u can use normal nailpolish..
and u dont need to blob it like that..
just apply it the normal way.. 2 to 3 coats...
just apply the two colors as show on both sides..
and blend the colors....
i prefer blending the lighter color onto the darker color...
stroking downwards as shown in the video...

its semi transparent in person but it looks really opaque in the pictures

snowbunny: when i make my hearts, i just free hand them with the brush.... just try it.... oh also, you can try using toothpicks... i think that they work well too. and better for smaller hearts.

its funny listening to her..but that girl's probably mixed with vietnamese or something to do the accent really good..
or else she's really good friends with a vietnamese person.her accent sounds kind of thai or laotian too.
its kind of funny..but then it provokes others people to intentionally make cruel comments too.. either way.. *shrugs
