those konad things really work. my friend and i got one and we stamp it onto our nails all the time. it makes it less plain than just a regular french tip nail! go for it!

Do you have a step by step tutorial for making the bows with the acrylic? Also, do you have any brush cleaning tips after using acrylics. Because my brushes got fugged up!
BR1TT4NYy

DONT use water to clean it, it only hardens it, lol

anyhow, over the weekend i did my friend's nails happy.gif nothing special. just plain and simple.

& mine. haha yuck. the pink didn't come out the color i wanted it to. but hey, i tried.

& this is me testing out stripes on my messed up manicure real quick deciding whether or not to do stripes on my friend's nails. turned out to look like peppermints happy.gif

Someone told me that you can use the 'two way silver' nailpen.
I think Sugar Puff <3 is selling it.

It's either that, or she used a thin brush... with extremely steady hands.
babojeshio
^ haha thin brushes. & i do not have steady hands x). it's just easier to draw on other people.
the glittery ones you can get at sally beauty supply. as for solid colorsm there's a salon in Chicago that sells them, sooo that's where i get mine =)
ix3katz
they have nailpolish that has a tiny brush instead of a big brush
n it's ..."firm" so it's quite easy to draw lines with

btw i have an extra set of fakes nails + a nail piercer for sale if anyone's interested smile.gif

click my shop <- thx ^^

Oh lols, i already ruined 4 brushes because it all hardened. I tried using nail polish remover, and acetone, and still did nothing. I'll try looking for the opi one. Thanks.

Once i find the tutorials for the 3d stuff, ill get powders from you, because i was at sallys and damn theres was like 18$ a bottle.

It looked awesome, so many people complimented on them laugh.gif
One girl, liked it so much she went to get it professionally down. Waste of money since I did it myself.

How did you buy from that website??
SwtMsT
I really like acrylic nails, but last time I got them and they started looking bad I tried to remove them with nail polish remover (b/c I heard that weakens the glue....) and they would NOT come off easily and took the top layer of my real nail with them crazy.gif !! It took me months before my real nails healed and I could actually put polish on them again...
Does that happen to anyone else or are my nails just weak?
How can I stop that from happening again sad.gif?

I got that like 2 months ago. Mine was $25. It came with 5 plates, blk/red/white polish, stamper, scraper. I bought additional plates too, the ones with the different french tip designs.

i love them! those are my real nails.. i don't think they've ever looked that healthy even though...its like.. fake healthy looking..haha

Hey all, I have a stupid question. >_< My friend's sweet sixteen party is this Friday and I decided to do my nails. I'm thinking about doing a french manicure. The thing is, I recently went to the store and saw Sally Hansen sells a lot different kinds of french manicure kits. o_o I'm so confused on which one to use. The store near me sells french shimmer, french shell shimmer, nearly nude, barely there, sheerly opal, sheerly muave, and sheer shimmer. I was wondering which one you girls could recommend. Thanks =) Oh, and do you have tips for doing a french manicure? I saw there was a picture posted up a couple pages ago on how to do it.

Or does anybody else know a good color/design that might go well with a black dress with white dots starting at the waist? Hehe, sorry for asking so many questions.

Um, here's to make it up with some japanese and one korean nail art.

i think they use any kind of nail polish..opi would be a good brand.

the powder that makes it shiny may be the acrylic powder. like when they dip the brush in a liquid then they dip it into a powder ..

after it is applied on your nail they buff it and put another polish or gel on it..maybe the uv gel... and that's what makes it shiny.

however, my sister is currently in cosmotology school..and she says that the uv gel's aren't done by many salons..if there are salons that do them, only one person does the manicure with the real uv gel.

so the gel they usually use are like fake uv-gels. they're just plain acrylic powder to look like uv gel manicures

some gels do come in powder too, but i haven't seen them use them....and the powdered gel would function like the uv gel...

and yeah.. the nails even if they are regular acrylic manicures, they should be treated and dried with a uv-light..didn't know that until my sister told me...!

i think that's why when i went to do my manicure, you dry you nails under a lamp, and i think the lamp is a uv light!
-x.smile.31
Thanks 팥빙수<3, sugar_puff <3, Rainie, and ~lin~

Rainie: My sister used a very fine brush nail polish or a fine/thin paint brush...made for nails though o.O...sorry, i don't know the brand of the nail polish though, it's probably O.P.I

~lin~: Lol, she first liked to play around with nail polish and designs then she went to an actual school to get a degree (takes about only 4-5 months?). We're Vietnamese, so I get nail designing is in our blood? Lol

monicahhhx: Before my sister came, I got gel done for around $70, full design for around $50, airbrush for $15-10...I never get fake nails or french manicure....or anything else =P
