I haven't tried using regular nail polish.

does anybody know any website where i could learn how to do acrylic nails step by step? I've been searching online and going on youtube but its a lil difficult. I've been wanting to go to nail school but i don't have the time to do that.

^Doing it by yourself won't give you the best result.
It could take hours.
A salon would be quicker than doing them at home.

of course it will be much quicker and nicer cuz their professional.
...but i want to learn how to do it myself. I've been interested in doing nails for many years but never had the opportunity to learn or go to nail school. For the past year i've been at school, now that i graduated i work full time. it sucks.

Oh sorry, i mis read that you said nail school into nail salon.
But the acrylic you buy still won't be as good apparently.

I got my kit when i was in vietnam, and it was $15 for scapper, stamp, 2 plates and 3 polishes.

yeah i dont like fake nails either! i've never had them. but i guess my nails grow pretty long it doesn't matter. i like french with white tips or just black... dark colors<33

The Konad thing is really trying me crazy cuz it's take forever to dry T___T

lol thankyou. but my nails are very weak. they break easily. i broke my nails already =[ so i think ima take it all off and paint it again. i know im killing them cuase i paint it a lot but nail obsession lol

lol yeah it takes forever to dry.
that's why i only play around w/ konad in the weekend, i've a lot of free time ,
it takes me 1.5 to 2 hours, i do it while watching tv.

Got Gel Nails with designs (can't see em very well, but u get it).

I have the plate 56(i think) it's the tip thingy and I've tried so many times but it doesnt come out right so I quit

my attempt... im an amatuer lol i was at my aunts and she did the pinky and middle, then i got home and felt inspired so i did the other three.. valentines theme lol
but i prefer like simple nails, just a plain french manicure or like.. coloured tips.

yeah the color does matter. if you go on ebay they sell it for pretty cheap, and they have all sorts of colors too, and you also need acrylic liquid in order to morph it into a mold type substance... or else it'll just be some powder in water .... good luck... you also kind of need brushes too.

yupp the color does matter you need a different color for every color you use
also youll probably need to buy the brush no need to buy a really expensive (about 40-ishCAD) one since your gona need to change it every year depending on how much you use it

and you can get it in like the asain countries or try a beauty school

I wanna ask a question regarding fake nails.

Whats the difference between Gel and Acrylic?
Which is more popular?
Which is better?
Cause I'm thinking of learning a short course for this just as a small hobby and do for like family and friends for cheaper compared to the nail salons here. And they have two courses, either applying Gel or Acrylic.
Has anyone also learnt a nail course before? My aunties in Canada are manicurist.
