*sigh* you guys have such nice nails! i'm jealous! haha. ackgh there's no way i can have fake nails though. i bite my real nails all the time (bad habit) and i tried a kit once but it was so hard to dial on my cellphone that i just got fed up. one of my friends had a bad experience with a nail kit from a store (figures, because it wasn't done professionally, haha); she went to get a gatorade from the vending machine and when she pushed the button, one of them flew off xD

i havent posted anything on soompi in a while.. haha but this is such a cute threadd..i thought i should share some of my stuff..







and lastly my favorite set.. i just got them done 2 days ago.. im so happy with the results... i might do purple glitter or dark gray next time..

umm i have a question......i want an acrilic nails but my nails are like short i guess and is it good to have acrilic nails?

to krngirly123 : to get fake nails like acrylic or gel it doesn't matter if your nails or short, they glue fake nails on your nails so you can get it as long as you want. And I personally wear gel nails all the time, i haven't seen my real nails for 3 months now.

hahaha ok thanks! cuz my friends had them and they like had all meduim long nails and i was the only one with short ones haha!

guys...should i use my glitter nail polish if i haven't used it in years? XD maybe like...3 years or something?
and if you haven't used it in a long time and on the top it has a layer of oily liquid stuff, should i jsut shake it and continue using it?

i did my nails couple hours ago. Its acrylic nails; simple french tip.

What's the difference between gel and acrylic nails? I just got my nails done today, and the lady did an acrylic with gel french tip. It was $45! just for a set. I live in Hawaii, and I heard that prices for nails are way cheaper in the mainland. How much do you guys pay for a set?

i love everyone's nails.

Acrylic nails are when they just put powder on top, followed by polish or a clear coat. Gel on the the other hand, they would put like a layer of gel polish on top, put 'em in the UV light machine for a few minutes ==> results in really really shiny nails that won't come off w/ nail polish removal, and will stay shiny until your next re-fill.

Personally, I love the solar nails w/ gel on top...so pretty and natural looking!

I'm in Taiwan right now and there's so many cute stickers for your nails, but I have to keep my cuticles really short since I'm a pianist (if I leave them long they make weird clicking noises on the keyboard and make it really annoying to play). Has anyone tried using nail stickers on short nails? Because my friend said it looks really bad if your nails aren't like, really long.

acryliclove: nail stickers look cute on short nails, i do it all the time cuz i have spazzy hands and always screw up when i try to draw stuff on my nails, also they are good for hiding chips XD

i usually pay 50-55 for them. but it's really decorative compared to alot of ppl's nails when they go to a salon to do them?

Believe it or not...from the craft store! It's at least half as expensive as it is to buy real nail accessoires and you find way more things!

I have Nail Radiance Cuticle Treatment but i don't know how it's used. If someone can tell me how to use it, when to apply it etc. that'll be awesome!

that's funny because i work at a coffee shop so a lot of time customers see my nails. and guess the gender of the only customers who compliments my nails. MALE/GUYS

saw a pack of 50 tips for $2 at rite aid so i decided to do mi sister's nails.

Under the health law, you're legally not allowed to have acrylics or gel nails and points for the health inspection can be deducted. But anyways, excessive water doesn't play too big of a role on them. You can just think of what would happen if you soaked plastic in water for a long time. Your nails last until it starts to grow out and you have to get "fills" depending on growth, usually every 2weeks

just a plain gel nail french manicure this time. my friend did them for me free of charge. she started the smile line too low, but they still look good.
