Hello! I have a question! Well, actually I have a few!
I'm planning on getting my nails done at a salon for prom on Saturday, but I've never done that before.
I want them to just use my real nails [because I need to be able to put on contacts and play piano], so I don't say anything like acrylics or gels, right?

Can I explain what I want by drawing a fast picture or something? (My friend told me you're supposed to choose from their catalog book thing...)
Also, are you supposed to just sit down at a free person or are you supposed to wait for them to call you?

I think most people do airbrush. I only seen one nail tech hand paint the design, but if you bring in your picture the only problem is that it might not be exactly like it looks in the pic.

Though, I heard they airbrush for gels and acrylics? (I guess I don't really understand the process...)

^ airbrush? i haven't had airbrush in like 3 years. mines are all 3Ds now. with the hearts and flowers. just look @ my first post? alot of places dont do that kind of design because they dont know how but if ur salon does, you should get it done! its really in!! =)

^ I have the exact same color and brand of nail polish but when I apply it, some parts are clear-ish but some parts are blue.

Question 1: How do you apply nail polish so it comes out even? (like the picture above)

NYC STARRY SILVER!! that's like my favorite nail glitter ever.. i use it on myself literally every time i do my nails.. XD

it depends.. i got mine done within a hair salon, so im sure it was more than average..
i paid about $60 for the whole thing...
im not sure how much on average it is tho~

ahhh so pretty..the first time i had my nails professionally done was at china over winter break..the girls were super sweet and fun to talk to, professional, great results, and CHEAP!! there was eyelash extension too xD

^ gel tips are $35 at the nail salon here, and they are more expensive than acrylics.



ehh i don't know what i was doing. just didn't want white tips, so i made them black. threw on some silver glitter and called it a night

LOL. my moms a nail technician o_o. those expensive ones but i dont bother getting them done : / i can't stand it when theres things stuck on them. I prefer them clean o_o It really ticks me off when people think my nails are fake though =_='

i got a manicure at the salon and they just put a nude bottom coat and airbrushed white onto it



There are alotta gorgeous designs! especially 3D! i dun think i can handle those nails without breaking one in under a day though

i got it done @ a salon =)

fill in gel nails. added glitter to the tips. then designed it with black and crystals.

All these nails are so pretty. Ah. Too bad I can't get nails until the summer. Stupid orchestra. I can't play if I have long nails.
