^It's better if you paint black first, then white ontop to control how much black can show, like you get a more precise pointy edge thing....

People that has done the zebra print before usually owned a "konad" nail kit to do that... the zebra prints is already there... you just got to stamp it onto your nail... you can find the "konad" nail kit on ebay or at the mall stand...

yeah, you can make Zebra patterns with Konad, but if you want cheap way, have you tried using a pointy brush? like the size of an eyeliner brush?

The zebra print is actually one of the easiest to do. All you need is black and white nail polish and a really thin fine brush. The brush doesn't have to be a nail brush. You could use brushes that are meant for painting. I think it's cheaper too. Anyway, first paint white as base colour and draw black lines across. Find some image for reference. It's ok if you don't have steady hands. The lines aren't meant to be straight anyway.

can someone explain how to create a gradient with glittery polish? it always comes out gloopy.

^ i actually find it A LOT easier to do the gradient thing with glittery nail polish..cuz with glitter..you can't really see mistakes..just paint on your nail tips..then(try not the re-dip) and sweep towards the opposite side

Best places to have 3D art done is @ Japanese Nail Salons... most other salons in the US are able to do nail art but mostly flat painted art (which can be really pretty too), or air brush.

Alright, I had zebra last week. I got so many comments about them!!!
But today, I tried the gradient thing. I'm happy to say, they turned out not too bad!



They are a metallic-y purple and the thumb is green.
I couldn't decide on the colors, and then I picked purple! ^^

2/3 weeks ago(salon) i really like this green. it was OPI nailpolish.

you cant tell so much what this looks like.
but i did it by myself and its clear polish with pink glitter on tips and sides with rhinestone accnets.

i have a question though.
do you guys just wipe off all the nail polish once it chips or grows out? or do you just let it stay on?
because whenever i paint my nails, they start chipping after a day or two and then it just starts looking all nasty.
