to prevent my nails from breaking/chipping, is it ok if i buy a DIY acrylic powder set from the store and put a layer over my nails? i hope this makes sense lol.

i don't know of any list of recommendations since i'm sure that it's all based on your own personal preference but if you want to see a bunch of pictures of different nail polishes, you should check out nailgal. it's basically a whole gallery of nail polish pictures so from there you can decide which ones you like

I took this picture before I cleaned the extra nail polish around my nails, so it's a bit messy.
You can't really see the gradients too well but ahh well, first try, haha.

yup those are fake nails.. i used to do the arts on my real nails.. but my real nails r v small.. even if they r long the width is v small.. so i need to used fake nails.. n only fake nails can give u this transparent top.. i bought them at daiso...and the glue frm daiso too.. dont worry they dun fall off..to remove buy a glue remover from daiso:)

nails I did not too long ago

Haven't posted in awhile cos I haven't been doing my nails except for the last 2 weeks. My nails are now long enough to do the french tip style. Hehehe..

Red with white dots. I did this at 3 am so I messed it up cos I was so sleepy. Failed miserably with what was supposed to be a flower. Hahahaha


Bought 2 nail polish: green and orange. Wanted to try both and ended up with this. I was too lazy to apply 2nd coat cos I did this at about 5 am and wanted to go to bed.


I love the orange polish I did one with white dots. Yes.. I love white dotted tips.


Needed something quick so a simple green tips.


I just removed my green nails with glitter which I forgot to take pix of. Maybe next time.
