I got a french manicure n pedicure today n it cost like $40... 0.0 it seems really high to me.. how much does it cost for you guys? ehh but since i got it how can i make it last longer? will puttin a top coat on it everyday help?

Oh, and i've been reading thro this thread and i haven't seen anyone mention konad.. it's this thing from korea.. you paint nailpolish onto this metal plate and then scrap off the extra, and then press the image onto a stamp and put it on your nail. for ppl that are looking for the salon design kinda look i think it's really good ^^ heres a few pix of what i've done w/ it..

aghhh my nails are all eaten (okay, bad habit, I bite my nails!!!) and as gross as it sounds, I get uncomfortable when they get long, so when I'm bored in school, I use nails on one hand to rip off the long name of the other one (and vice versa, but hurts more since it's a cut nail trying to cut a longer nail... lol) So yea...

I think on my prom night, I'm getting my nails done... maybe not at a manicure place or anything, but just buying fake nails and painting them... cuz mine are hideous! And for one night, I'd like to look nice! I always looked sloppy since I haven't gone clothes shopping for ages... hehe... and I don't really care how I look at school

I did this about a week ago and decided to finally upload it.
It was a white base with pink and silver glitter to create the "V" pattern.

oh wow this is my first time in this thread! And even though I don't really like fake nails I must say that ALL these designs are SO nice!! You guys really are artists!

I just keep my nails as are and file them into a squarish shape. If I leave them in their natural shape my mom starts calling them "claws" because my fingers are really long

i get my nails done too much and theyve ruined my nails. theyre really weak and short now from all the chemicals they use. i swear when i get them done i feel like im getting high but i got used to it after a while. theyre so ugly now, they look like shxt. you know when you get gel or acrylic nails you get the indent, well i tried to grow them out to get rid of the indent but my nails are so weak i cant grow them. i usually just go get acyrlics again because my nails so ugly but then it gets worse, obviously. my nail lady told me i should get silk wrap there but i think i spent fortunes on my nails i should really stop. i mean its like 40 dollars each time and 15 for fill-in, god it adds up. but the lady gives me discount ccuz i go often :]. does anyone have advice? my nails are in desprete need. oh i tried the nail growth stuff, its a buncha bull.

umm..before you paint your nails, just get some lemon and wipe them on ur nails....thats all i know ^0^

my friend had the same problem, you just gotta wait a long time to grow them out, thats all you can do, let your nails breathe a bit. dont put anything on it, not even a clear coat, keep the nails short so you dont end up breaking them.

i was inspired by your nails so i took a picture to my aunt and she did something similar for prom :]

thanks for the advice, i think i wont be getting gel nails for a while haha. they damage your nails so much haha. i dont like using the glue on nails though cuz they break easily thats why i stuck with acyrlic and gel nails but ahh, the consequences. ill try the lemon thingy and ill let them "breathe"
