i suck at doing french manicures. when i peel off the tape, it takes off some of the white paint! someone help??

I had them done at a salon and the lady just DID them- with no tape or anything...I usually use tape, but I don't push the tape firmly down b/c that made the white come off for me too. She also used a really thick sort of polish for my fakes...I dunno what brand or type.

Yea, I usually use the Sally Hansen French Manicure Kit that has the white strip and it works pretty fine to me but when I went to get my nails done at the salon....... the lady didn't use anything, I was like WOW... she said sometime she do and if she can do it fine then she don't need to use it...

I guess it easier when others do your nail for you then you doing it yourself...

I did this a few days ago for dinner dance so it's kinda stuffed atm >< haha

wow! those are some really pretty designs. i'm so jealous

for people who are right-handed, is it harder for you to paint/design with your left hand or vice versa.? because i'm right handed and i find it difficult to design stuff on my left hand.

i'm right handed too and it is more difficult but with alot of practise it should be fine for both hands. im still not good with the left hand but im slowly getting used to it.

the nail polish goes from peachy to orangy to pink-ish.. then there are flowers on it.. with little beads and then a bigger bead x____X! u probably cant see them since the pix are so crappy >____<;;

I have a question for those who know alot about getting nails done at salons : when u get acrylic done, can you use your own finger nail tips if they're long instead of fake tips? cause my cousin said that when she went the person cut all her nails really short when they were really long.

i got this nail set from my aunt. it comes with an image plate, scraper and stamp. i just put the nail polish over the design i want on the image plate and used the scraper to remove the excess and then use the stamp to get the pattern and stamp it on my nail =)

I got these done for the 4th of July =) My mom did 'em<3 (They're red, white, and blue tips with a little star at the corner of each nail. It's hard to see =\)

TY~! But umm...eveytime it grows back to lik...half a cm and everything...it becomes all crooked and ...deformed again...I've seen some people with like...REALLY...REALLY squared nails but I can never ever get it that way...like this:

^ Those are acrylic. They're fake. That's how it always stays square.

I have these sticks that have like circle thingies on the end and it's for making dots, flowers etc. They come in diff. sizes: like big circle for making big dots and this really sharp one for making small dots or writing your name. Not that cheap though.. the wood one was like $2 [cheapest one] . You should find it at nail suply stores.

I don't like my ring finger nail and pinky nail.. like how it is all curved in or something. How do I change that?

So whenever I do a french manicure and I go take a shower it.. kinda ruins the nails.
How do I get the soft, shiny feel to it? I remember my aunt putting on this pinkish one and this clear one.
I bought a pinkish one from wet n wild and did it and it kinda accomplished it but it dried out and I ahven't done it for a long time so I forgot how. Do you guys know how?

So what's the best brand of nail polish?

Where do I buy those bows, flowers, hearts for those fake nails? The japanese ones/

ooo...those nails remind me of a memory...those are heavy nails because i was in a hair show where we also had to show off nail art...and for my nail art..they were super super long nails with pearls along the side of the nail....felt like my nail would fall off along with the fake one...

I don't know if you people know what I'm talking about or if it should be posted here, but for those who've watched the movies like Daddy Long Leg and A Millionaire's First Love should remember vaguely what I'm talking about.
Koreans have this belief of tainting their nails orange with this plant and see the first snow fall with their loved ones or something like that right? What exactly is this plant that dyes your nails orange and why would a green plant turn your nails orange?
