Have you ever written an important essay the night before it was due?.. and still gotten a good grade?


I always do this because I'm such a procrastinator..
But I'm actually kind of worried about my 5-page research paper for modern European history that's due tomorrow. Haven't even started, and I still need to read about 80 pages from my textbook.








Edit: Yeah, I get really good grades when I'm pressured to do something really fast. Haha, but I think I'm going to die at an early age because I always do that and end up stressing like crazy.

and I wasn't even going to do it
but I changed my mind last minute
and ended up with an A. (:

Come to think of it I'm writing an essay right now.

And it's due tomorrow.

It's not a good thing, but I love woking under pressure. Makes me think!
just need someone to reread it for grammatical errors that I didn't catch, or clear things that I didn't elaborate on!

I did that a few times. Sometimes the pressure works better--when there's a lot of time (like if you start much earlier)--there are times when it's hard to get it written out the way you want it.

Hell yeah, and I received a good grade on it too.

worse one was my final 10 page paper on mulitple personality disorder for AP psyc in high school.
went full out research + writing mode at 7pm and had to pull an all-nighter =/

I'm working on a project that's due tomorrow, and I don't even know what to say in front of the WHOLE class. i have stage fright! >_<'' I sitll need to do the poster too.... -.-'' and i usually get ok grades jsut enugh to pass. hehe

All the time . It's usually around 3 a.m, in the morning too while i'm dead tired.

There was once (this January) where I had to do this big project for English (it was a few essays on a book I read) and I did the WHOLE thing the night before it was due & ended up not sleeping. Haha. But I got an A!

Right now it is 4AM here in NYC and I haven't started my 5 page paper that is due in 9 hours.

I will probably finish around 7.

Yep... i wrote an english text essay the day before it was due...
I think i did a pretty good job though.. coz the fact that it was due the day after, pressured me to work harder and think quicker =P

I was supposed to make a 3-5 page analysis essay on a character from a book but I made it 2 pages and still got an A xD. I thought I wrote 3 pages so I went to sleep cause I was dead tired but the next morning I found out it was 2, ahahah.

Yep. Senior essay... full marks. So glad I'm out of high school! Well, I guess I planned it for a while, but writing was on the day before.

I agree, there are times that I did greater when it's already in the middle of the night rather than it's still in the day :x

yeah i did that all the time back in high school. it was like a habit. pretty bad. but cause i was pretty ok at english and stuff so i got pretty good marks. now i don't even need to write essays no more. yay!

I do that sometimes, but since my essays aren't great normally, I don't get good grades =(

Sometimes, but I find Essay's easy to write.
And my grades aren't bad for Essays =]
A's or B's for even unfinished ones xD...

You know, I use to plan a few weeks ahead.
Not anymore, I do it the night before due date now.
Makes no difference in the results anyway, why bother wasting that much time

yeah. XD it was crazy. i got 4.0 for my theology essay.

But the grades are bad..

I hate working under pressure. But yes I do this (well used to-I haven't written an essay in a while ) and yes strangely the grades were the same or even better than if I didn't leave it to the last minute.

Yeah, I used to be pretty good at pulling this stuff.
3 week writing project I did in 3 days and got a 96. That was sort of amazing.
And the APEuro paper, did most of the research and writing the nigh before and got a 95. But he liked my writing too, so that helped.

Well, I always start doing my homework (essays, BIG projects, etc.) 3 hours before going to school...
It's REALLY stressful but I like procrastinating A LOT, so yeah... XDDD
And I always get good grades. A+++ ^^

I procrastinate all the time. I just wrote an essay that was suppose to be due 2 days ago in 3 hours. O_O

That is the only way to make me write one.

yup alot, i had to write an essay about this character in a book, but since i was in the business academy i had to write a resume for the character~~ >_< i went to bed like around 2

and also for my senior project i had to write a 8-15 page paper and i did it all the night before..omg, it was crazy...i stayed up til like 3 @_@

Miraculously, the grades rock. Which makes me wonder about the competence of my professors.

It's sad actually.
Because I always sit there late at night and curse my essay&myself,
getting angry, telling myself that I properly can't finish it.
But then in the end, I always manage to finish it.
Looking like a zoombie the day after.
I wish I can stop doing it.

Every paper I ever wrote was written the night before it was due...always A or B+
Research papers...I give myself a week though b/c I move really slow when I do them...I really hate them.

Did a groupwork essay all by myself, pulled an all-nighter on the last few hours.

Topic was on the legalisation of organ transplants and it topped the class.

Totally on an ego trip. lol.

i remembered writing a short essay 2 hours before school.
To my astonishment, i was praised by the teacher in the class some days later. I got the highest marks.
I thought i was going to get a scolding or something intially.

Then i was thinking d*mnit. I would have written a better one (with more phrases or difficult words) if i have the time because she was penalising that i did not use more of that.

Yeah, two weeks ago for my 1000 words law essay, didn't get any sleep. I got it back this week and got 53/60 on it
