I've heard quite a few american songs that give off a j-pop feeling

one of them I'm actually listening to at this moment, it's Mariah Carey's
"Daydream Interlude Fantasy Dub remix" off the "DayDream" album
it sounds so much like "Night's Into Dreams" to me.

Also Janet Jackson has a few of them that remind me of J-pop music

"Doesnt Really Matter", "Escapade", "Together Again"
