Being pregnant is always a gift, but I think what is just shocking is the fact that she is just 19. Maybe because she started her showbiz career so early it her (and many others) think that they are already mature at age 19. I don't think you can call it maturity but more of a false sense of being already of age. Another thing, maybe the fact that they do not pursue further education (university degree) is also contributing to them getting into early pregnancy.

Off topic, I don't know if I'm the only one who noticed it but it seems that many of the stars in Japan, especially the idols, don't really pursue their education unlike many Korean entertainers who are very pround flaunting to the world that even if they are already in the industry they still want to get a degree. Whenever I read a Korean entertainer's profile (especially the actors and actresses) they all seem to have attended university, already have a degree or are currently studying. As for Japanese entertainers....there seem to be very few who do that.

This is very sudden because as soon as the allegations got out, a marriage is announced. I think Nono's trying to save face.

there were no allegations. both Tsuji and future husband went to their companies and told them that she was pregnant and they were to get married. that was when the news got out.

Tsuji is still part of Hello!Project and is now taking maternity leave. She graduated from Morning Musume in 2004.

^ yeah. It wasn't to save face, she was proposed to in March already and the couple discussed marriage in January so it was pretty much planned out for awhile now.

It's not really the age thing because it's normal in Japan for people to get married and have kids at a young age.
What is shocking to most fans is that this came out of nowhere. She had just been put in a new group which was in the midst of debuting, she had a part in an anime doing a voice for a character, and she also had a main role in a theatrical play which now has to be filled in by Yossie and Rika.
So this has caused quite a lot of problems.
It's irresponsible on her part for not planning it out better. When her and her ultraman planned it out at the beginning of the year she should've at that time in some way expressed her plans to the company instead of having them waste all this time to give her all this work, promote her, and whatever else which will now all go to waste. All the songs recorded for Gyaruru, character voice-over, theatre role now have to be trashed which is a big loss.
Congrats to her she definitely has more support from this then with Aibon's situation but she could've at least done a better job of leaving H!P (graduate).
(Taking a break, whichever it is....no word from the company yet but rumor is that she's gonna get the boot or be asked to leave.)

I'm truly happy for her the guy looks really nice and caring, they make a cute couple. Still disappointed that it means we won't be seeing her anymore or at least for a very long time. She mentioned in the press conference that she would like to return and start from scratch, so there's a little bit of hope I guess.


It's a bad thing because as an H!P idol she isn't allowed to have relationships.
So it's kinda like....hidden relationship + shotgun wedding/pregnancy + Trump: "You're fired..." (<--maybe)



Sidenote: I wonder how Aibon is doing with her man >_> I've heard that she's currently planning to make a come back but under a different company in her hometown.

Yeah I saw the video yesterday ^^
She held a press conference with her fiance and said how she was 9 weeks pregnant , she is sorry for the surprise but she think the life in her belly is the most important thing right now and she wants to give birth to life .
Her fiance proposed to her , and how her family is really happy and is encouraging their marriage and baby ^^
I'm really happy for her because in all of the videos about her pregnancy , she looks SO happy with her fiance and baby .

I'm kind of disappointed since I was looking forward to her new unit. The song sounded cool.

The big deal about this is that she's part of Hello Project and as a whole HP gives off the innocent image, that's like you can see but never touch.
It wouldn't be a big deal if it was someone from...there's really no other girl group in japan I can name of right now, except for Zone.
Even news about one of them dating would make major headlines. It's the same as a member from one of Johnny's boyband to be going out with someone.
Of course there would be much more chaos than this.

Oh well, her baby's still gonna be cute, but really hope she can take care of it properly. I'm too used to childish nono.
