u place it right where your left foot is (where your big toe is).
middle is only when you're using a 5 iron or higher
u place the ball near your right foot when hitting pitching or sand wedge.
If you're left handed, everything is opposite

i quit golf a loooooong time ago.. but my whole family plays golf. my aunt, uncle, and cousin are teaching pros. my dad is old so he doesn't hit scratch anymore but he teaches really well. better than most pros in my opinion. he can fix or find a swing according to that person's skill and abilities.
my brother wants to go pro... and i know a lot of the korean junior/young golfers around.
i'm thinking of picking it up again though...

yeah put the ball closer to your left foot (if your right handed)
and when tee the ball make sure you can see at least 1/2 of it above the driver (it helps me)

mid-60's..are you sure? lol
cos he should be playing in all the tours then.
and err..thats like a -7 handicap.

^^^jaja yeah that is so true.
if your dad's handicap was really in the mid 60's he shouldn't only be on the pga, champion's or nationwide ttours,
but he should be pretty up there in the rankings because that is really good.

Golf is surprisingly really fun, its one of those sports where it is super boring to watch but super fun to play. I was actually going to go and try to join my school golf team, but I didn't want to spend a grand on clubs that the coach wanted us to get.

of course golf is a sport! It's a horrible, EVIL sport, especially when your ball is about to get into the hole but in the end LIPS out [whatadouche], but a sport none the less.
"A sport is any physical activity that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often engaged in competitively." Golf definitely applies to that.

of coures golf is a sport and very soon it will be an olympic sport too!
if one can have bowling (what percentage plays bowling!) as an olympic sport, why is the connosiers game being left out. all golfers are not snobbish, and the olympics are not to be snobbed, its in!!
LETS hope it gets in soon,
till then we can play it even in the leisure of our homes as golf gaming comes to the fore, the courses are cool and so are the concepts and the drivers and utelities

I love golf. I am only 14 and i shoot in the low 80's. I just started golf, almost a year now. My driver sucks but I can out drive my dad at times hahaa. My dad has been playing for years, he just made a hole in one this past week and bragging to everyone. haha. Whats your favorite club to hit? I really like my 7 iron for some reason haha. I love it. How do you guys like, fix your swing when you have a huge hook? Like it hooks to the left. I have a problem at times, when my shoulder opens up on the down swing, and totally hooks it.. >.< My boyfriend has been trying to help me, its going straight, but now going right! but not really a hook, it goes straight but into to the right lol. yup.yup.. uhh, what else to tlak about lol..
What was your highest on 9 holes and 18?
for me 9 holes was 60 when i first started lol. And 18 was.. 102?

I started playing when I was 11.. Then stopped for a very long time (I'm 21 now, what a big break, right? lol). Now I've picked it up again, like 3 months ago. Not doing too hot, it's damn challenging. I like 7 iron as well. But I like my fairway wood, cos I like the sound, haha.

Hahaha ... When I first started golf, I overswung and let go of the club on my follow-through. The club went behind me and wrapped around a pole. It was my instructor's.

haha
My fault is my inconsistency. lol
If I play on a 9-hole, I swear this is how it plays out:
First 4 holes, I have good tee shots, but horrible approach and chip shots.
Last 5 holes, I have horrible tee shots, but good approach and chip shots.
Sad ..... xD
And my favorite club is a driver. I love that *ting* sound ... Or the 9 iron for some reason. I prefer it to a chipping wedge oddly.

Apparently my driver hates me or something. It has mood swings, I swear.
One hole, it'll behave and go really far and really straight.
Another hole it'll go whack and go really far and really left.
I'd rather it go short and left than that...
I suck D:

Ok, congrats to Yang on the win. The guy who does the best wins.
However... what the hell do you mean when you say "a big win for Asians worldwide"? I'm sorry, but that's BS! I'm Korean American, but I don't support a player just because he's Asian. I support whoever I think shows the best sportsmanship, quality effort, etc.
It makes Asians look very bad when you read an article like this:
http://www.newsday.com/sports/golf/korean-...ctory-1.1375806^^ Basically that article shows Korean Americans going crazy because a Korean guy beat a non Korean guy. What utter crap. You are in AMERICA now, you are AMERICAN.. learn to forget about all this nationalistic crap.
Screw "Asian Pride". That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. There's nothing wrong with being proud of your heritage, but it's annoying when you flaunt it. White people don't go around telling everyone they're "so proud" to be White, and say they're the coolest because they're white.
Get a clue people.

Audiomuse, a big bow to you!!! Korean & Korean Americans always have their hands up their "bum" with some white washed statement or the other which shows stupidity and ignorance, being proud of ones heritage is knowing who you really are and embracing it. The man who was defeated is the "Very Best " in his games, so a fluke happen, bravo! Will it happen again NOT!!!!

Errr. Tiger wood is part Thai
meaning he is
part asian.

I agree with AudioMuse, you should support a player based on their ability not their race/nationality.
