Not Jewish at all...far from it...it's a German hip-hop group called Massive Tone...they are big in Germany...if you listen carefully to the hook/bridge, Gaeko says, "From Germany to Korea..."

I wouldnt call them 'undergorund' anymore, but still, what they release to the general public of korea is just a slice of the pie imo.
IMO all the k hip hop artists now know whats accepted and welcomed by the general public of korea as 'hip hop' and would dedicate a slice of the album for it, which I think is totally cool, letting the general public know what they are all about is a good thing imo, yet they still know they have the k hip hop listeneres out there, who have been supporting them since a long time.
Basically, what im trying to say is, these days they would have a specific couple of tracks to use for promotional activities, and who knows? some members of the general public might even induldge further and discover what they dont yet know.
Everything has pros and cons...
The other day I was tlaking to someone about the new leessang 3 and DD, and they were like "Oh yeh korean music is on a roll, the new KCM and FInkl is out too" and I was like
But hey, some people might dig further.

Nov 2 2005, 09:07 PM
well.... so... i dont really get the what qualifies as underground now.....
so if its accepted by the public... is not underground... or ok.... confusing but i was just saying that their album is good....
but i got the leesang cd of my friends clubbox... and some of the songs wouldnt extract... but the 6 or so songs that did were good...

yeh look, the way I personally see it, its a waste of time categorising k hip hop into 'underground' or 'mainstream', whether this does justice do the 'underground' artists I can't say.
the way i see it, if you like the music, listen to it and go out and buy the album, if you think the album is worthy of your money, who cares if it is under or over, if you think its a good album go and recommend it to your friends etc...
and the reason is simply because as you said, "if its not accepted by the public" would it be underround, etc...
its like how CB MASS started off as under (in a relative sense) ,.... actualyl before cbmass choiza and gaeko were part of KOD....
anyway the point is, it really doesnt matter imo..
appreciate the music, thats it really
thats my 2 cents

originally underground was supposed to have a similar meaning to indie. artists who dont have major distribution or promotion, as opposed to the mainstream artists that do with huge investments made by their record label.
but certain trends started to take place in the styles of these 2 types of artists, underground making songs of watever they wanted, more dark, thought provoking type songs, while the mainstream catered more to what sold at the time, more poppy, upbeat or "dancable" songs, which lead to the categorization of styles between the 2.
that's based off what i believe tho. no facts to back up my agrument.

to be very brief, its quite different from the 1st, so I cant really say whether you'll like it or not,
but the sound is quite diff from the first,
has a couple of tracks similar to taxi driver's style though,
Listen to it first before you buy if you're worried.
Its not an easy listen at first, but gets better after a while.

yea like always love DD... and my homie featured on this album, the track is called Love Is with DD and Tasha.. his name is kibum.. he signed with them under GAB Ent... also i have alot of tracks with kibum too.. for example 143-012 was kibum singing... now back to topic. overall the album is pretty good... some tracks that disappointed me, but dokki didnt let me down... while i was in korea, i was like this kid got talent, he was originally signed with Jo-PD under Stardom but i guess DD picked him up.. very talented kid.... KOD shined on this track.... good to hear them together like back in the days.... anyways... overall the album is off the sweaty balls!..

Please explain how one must live his/her lifestyle to be recognized as "hiphop".
Rap is a genre, hip-hop is a lifestyle
the 5 elements to hip hop are: Bboying, MCing, Graffin, or DJin
hip hop as a lifestyle would reflect upon a person as a whole, to LIVE a hip hop lifestyle, u'd live, see, think, and act a certain way.
hiphop isnt all BLING BLING, fast cars, money n hoes, dats gangsta hiphop, not to be confused wid HIP-HOP in general. in general its more of n art about truthfully EXPRESSING oneself.
its bout How you CHOOSE to live ur life, how u choose to think, u need to have dat certain attitude,
tha "EFF THA WORLD I DO MAH OWN THING N IM HAPPIE WID IT N I DONT CARE WES OTHERS THINK"
mang iono tha fully get tha concept of a hiphop lifestyle ya gotta live it. mad hard to explain it perfectly in words

[News]Dynamic Duo to Perform with Black Eyed Peas
Dynamic Duo, a popular Korean hip-hop duo, is set to perform with American hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas in Seoul.
Dynamic Duo will perform on the opening stage of the Black Eyed Peas' first Seoul concert on August 15 at the Fencing Stadium at Seoul Olympic Park. What makes the Korean hip-hop duo's upcoming performance significant is that they were reportedly personally chosen by the members of the Black Eyed Peas, who went through the CDs and music videos of numerous Korean artists.
Dynamic Duo said they were honored to be performing on stage with such an internationally renowned hip-hop group as the Black Eyed Peas. The duo also said they are looking forward to the upcoming concert as they are big fans of the group and promised to put on a great performance on stage.
Dynamic Duo released their third studio album in May. Since its release, the duo's latest album has been sweeping various music charts.
Meanwhile, the August 15 concert will mark the second time the Black Eyed Peas are performing in Korea after their special performance at the 2006 Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival. However, the upcoming concert will be the group's first solo concert in Korea.

does anyone know if Dynamic Duo pressed anything on wax? i'd love to pick up an LP or some 12" singles.
i recently stumbled upon them on youtube and loved the funk songs they chose to sample (like the Ray Parker Jr. sample they used for Chul Chek)
also they're stage presence was really dope, something i wasn't really expecting to see and caught me by surprise.

Dynamic Duo, hosts of “Bopper’s”Published February 14, 2008

Dynamic Duo was selected as the MCs of the new Mnet music talk show “Bopper’s,” wherein various behind-the-scenes stories and accounts on hardships that happen within the music industry will be discussed.
“We decided to get on with this program because its concept is interesting. Not only the musicians but also the staff members are working hard for the show. We’re glad to be able to acknowledge a musician’s work through this program. There haven’t been a lot of chance wherein senior and junior singers get to interact so this show is going to be great,” Dynamic Duo commented.
According to the show’s director, the show is planned to liven up the music industry that is experiencing a big slump and to bring the hope back.
For the first recording of the show, the Dynamic Duo will deliver warm packed meals for Jewelry, who will have its comeback stage on February 14 at Mnet Mcountdown, and interview the members on their ambitions and struggles.
The show will first broadcast on February 21.

Even though I'm fairly sure that nobody here will know this answer based on the underwhelming popularity of this thread,
does anybody know the titles of the two hidden tracks on the repackaged third album, Love is Enlightened?
(it might be on the original album, too... I only bought the repackage)
I didn't even realise that they were on there until I accidently left my stereo on one day and a few min after track 15 (U-Turn, feat. Verbal Jint) played, the hidden tracks started playing.
They're pretty hawt, and I'm gonna rip them to my iPod, but I need to know the names. Anybody got a clue?
(and why is this thread so quiet? Double D rips face!!)
